[Newbie] How do you setup a WordPress AutoBlog?

Hello WHT community,

I'm trying to setup an AutoBlog, but are failing (lol).

What plugin do you guys use for AutoBlogging RSS feeds? I've tried 3-4, but NONE of them do it automatically. I've tried setting up a cron job, and everything! None of them automatically autoblog for me...I have to login and hit "fetch".

Also, I'm using HostGator as my host. Is this the problem? The WordPress installation is basically brand new, up-to-date.

WP Robot to autoblog. StatPress to check your stats. Any plugin linking to the relative Twitter / FB / Ping.fm account and you're basically good to go after setting the right sources.

WP Robot supports the cron mechanism of WP, if your hosting doesn't provide a proper system cron. Just pick a nice theme with a high conversion and you're good to go. Some blogs do good even taking content verbatim, others will be deindexed that's mostly a numbers game so the more blogs / niches the better.

Can be found in many ways, but yeah, I'd say it's the best single piece of sw up to this task and it's totally worth it. You won't hear me say this a lot of times...

I'm not going to put down wp-robot, it's a good product as well. WP-robot is better for mixing things up and makes it easier to bring in different kinds of content, AutoBlogged focuses on RSS feeds because you can get anything that way, and it provides better fine-tuning which makes it better for special-purpose stuff (like http://autoblogged.com/6602/autoblogged/feedburner-alternative/).

We have spent quite a bit of time lately optimizing AutoBlogged and improving stability, plus we are always adding new features.
