NOt Guilty! BS!

Well, partying after your child is missing is way different than having stomach problems after being accused of drug trafficking :p

IMO, she doesn't look mentally unstable to me. I don't know how people would think that way after she partied like a rock star days after her child went missing.

Then again, I don't know all the facts but judging from what I said above, it's just unacceptable for her to do that. Seriously, I'm still pissed at her.

once again, i'm not defending what happened.....

sometimes people cope with stress by avoiding it....almost like if you avoid something it didn't really happen.

simple example, 'if i don't look at my (open the) bills then they aren't there'...

let's say hypothetically you had an accidental death....then maybe for some people the stress and guilt would cause one to pretend like it never happened. i don't know.

let's hypothesize that this was an accidental death and the person panicked....they disposed of the body, came up with a story that the victim went away on vacation....and then push the events and pretend everything's ok. i'm not a psychologist.....idk, since nothing was proven by the prosecution it's hard to say.

i'm not defending the mother because there is suspicion surrounding this case....but since the prosecution couldn't show how little caley died, provide dna evidence linking mother with child, history of abuse from the mother, or proof that the child had been abused in the past, then anything really could have happened.

anyway, i believe in what goes around comes around....so if she did kill her daughter, casey will get poetic justice one way or the other

This is flawed :)
Would you like to be sentenced for drug trafficking because you were acting nervous, sweating and had abdominal pain at some airport? I mean why care about actual evidence when behavior is so much more revealing.

If anything, and if she did it, her actions show that she is not mentally healthy (partying & stuff). Which brings the question, why was she charged with murder. An insane person can't legally murder, only kill. You can't argue that a reasonable person won't do such a thing but then ask for punishment that reasonable persons get. Maybe the prosecutors should explain their real motives or at least their conduct in previous cases investigated.

I don't think she's insane at all. I think she just didn't care about her daughter. I think she thought of her daughter as a burden. And I think her actions prove that. If anything I think she's a lot smarter than she's showing. I think she committed the "perfect murder".

While I will agree that I don't know all the facts, and my opinion is based mostly on what the news has reported, I also find it very hard to ignore her actions.

She partied, she lied multiple times to the police, she changed her story multiple times. A mother who's daughter is "missing" doesn't do these things. The videos they've shown of her in jail talking to her parents show that she's a self centered b*tch.

But you're correct, we can't convict someone based solely on actions. And there just wasn't any evidence. And that's why she was found not guilty.

You do have a point. I guess I'm just caught up with all the media hype.

I take care of my little one 12 hours a day. Seeing her daughter die like the way she did is very disturbing and uncomfortable to witness..

"One would much rather that twenty guilty persons should escape the punishment of death, than that one innocent person should be condemned and suffer capitally." -Sir John Fortescue

The jury really had no other choice than to find her not guilty. The State failed to prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

They failed to prove any motive.

They failed to provide anything beyond weak circumstantial evidence.

They didn't even prove that a murder had actually occurred.

Yes, there is a dead child, but that in itself does not prove the child was murdered. It could have very well been an accidental death, and the supposed "adults" in this case got panicked and stupid.

The saddest part of this whole mess is, that a beautiful little girl is dead, and the media made a circus out of it for their own selfish gains, and the public bought into their ghoulish game.

Pathetic.

agreed....

imo, if anybody failed caley it was the 24 hour news media and sensationalized yellow journalism.....

I completely agree. And I do get emotional when anything like this happens to such a young child. I have three children myself and I can't even begin to imagine what I would do if anything like this were to happen to any of them.

I can understand what you're saying by pushing away the stress to pretend it's not there. But I don't know man, bills are one thing, your child is another. I couldn't push that away, it'd consume me night and day. But people deal with situations differently, so it's possible.

Like Paper-Boy said, this is just too personal for me. As a father, I just can't see how someone would be able to do that when it concerns their child.

Not even with duct tape wrapped around the child's mouth multiple times?

Was the tape put there before or after the child was dead? The State never proved that, one way or the other. Casey's dad said he put it on after she was already dead. (Why he would do that, I have no idea.)

It was up to the state to prove otherwise.

They did not.

It all comes down to "Reasonable Doubt".

i'd fuck her

Douchebag.

Anyway, if she killed her she will be judged accordingly by God when her time comes. If she didn't kill her then justice was served properly. What has gotten lost in all of this is the fact that a beautiful little girl is dead. The rest of it is fodder for everyone else to ponder. Just say a little prayer for Caylee tonight and let it go.

Well im only 20 and no i dont have kids, but if i did have a kid and somehow it died, well i wouldnt go striaght to the police and tell them that I accidently killed my kid, i mean yes thats an option but id be too scared since id think id go to jail, so in that case she tried to hide the body etc, whatever she did after the "accidental death" doesnt really matter...

Shes not a murderer and isnt a threat to society, so she shouldnt get the death penalty... Sure she made a mistake of not telling the cops, but ask yourself what you would do>? its a bad scenario to be in and i could see myself doing similar...

Im glad she got off, and you sick fucks who think she deserves to be killed are a threat to society... fuck off faggots and dont think your opinions right just because your blinded by the media..

Please dont bring God into this you moron. This has nothing to do with religion, and you probably didn't go to school since "God" is not real. Dumb fuck.

1. Body decomposed in car
2. Duct tape all over kid's face
3. They all acknowledged that they knew about the kid's death ages ago and participated in disposing of the body

Guilty or clinically insane--take your pick.

Here's another case in Qc, CA

http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/Turcotte+found+criminally+responsible+deaths+children/5051662/story.html

Guess how it end up ??

so how exactly did this poor girl die?

her mouth was duct taped and she was drowned in swimming pool in their house?
Where did this Nancy hide this baby girl's body....

This news sensationalism is everywhere including India.

Here (India) rape cases take atleast 5 years to reach a verdict and like 10% of cases only get verdict or should we say "justice delivered eventhough it is delayed"

IMO US law system is better eventhough loopholes like this case do happen. They are a minority i would like to think.

There was a program in NatGeo called "FBI files" and they used to showcase all the DNA analysis skills like fingerprint, bullet casing print, luminol and so on.

Here in India, very rarely you see DNA analysis is used to convict a criminal. This Nancy case seems a bit bizzare with all the DNA analysis techniques the State couldnt prove beyond doubt who the actual murderer or the sequence of events leading to the murderer.

were there no motives like: Insurance policy on baby girl's life? and if she dies someone else(Nancy) get the insurance amount?

well her actions spoke more than what you need. come on party etc when your child is missing ? supposedly raped when younger but living with her parent - come on give me a fucking break. lied to the cops 4 times.... well if she at least goes to jail for that someone will hopefully take care of her.

Why is there a death penalty in the U.S.? I live here, but it doesn't make any sense, lifetime involuntary servitude makes alot more sense.
