Google (+1) increases rankings.... Let's experiment!

Hey,

I know there seems to be diff views on this... But, I seem to notice a little boost when there are a few google plusses.......

How abt a lil. experiment..

-I have a page which is no.8 on page 1..Its a low comp. keyword...

-It was on no.11 and adding 3-4 pluses seemed to push it up to no.8.........(Yes, I cleared my cache, cookies, signed out. Also, checked it on a diff PC)

I am looking for around 10-20 people to plus this.....and lets see if there is any immediate impact...

Post on this thread and i'll send you a pm right away for this.............and will post my results ..I'll be monitoring the rankings

P.S: I am not sure if this is against the forum rules. So, if it is, just lemme know and ill close the thread...

I have got around 10 plus ones, but I see no noticable diff.. in ranking..I'll stop at that........Thanks for all the guys who plus oned...........

Maybe, bulk plus on'ing might be useful.........

Or the user should be coming to the site by a specific keyword, plusones it and it affects the SERPS for that keyword only.........May be this angle needs an experiment...

From what I see so far +1 is attached to keyword, so +1 without prior search might be useless guys.

Are you saying that the +1 buttons ppl put on pages are useless as well?

I am not from Google to make such a broad statement. But from the way +1 works, its obvious that Google connects it to search phrase somehow.

If you searched for "bubblegum" and landed on bubblegumrocks.com, then +1 it. Every time one of your contacts will search "bubblegum" Google will indicate that you liked bubblegumrocks.com for that search term.

well there are already services out there that provide abusing google +1 system like youlikehits. Maybe I should experiment with it and let you guys know the result
