I'm using some other guy's Scrapebox license lol

well I bought scrapebox and ordered a VPS. I installed scrapebox on the VPS and for some reason the license was already activated to some dude. I couldn't find the option to remove license so I just used the current licensce. if anyone wants to tell me how to remove the current license then yeah :)

You just got yourself a free extra license, mate :) Enjoy.
 
Just a matter of time before that guy activates it for his machine again and your copy gets deactivated. It happens all the time with new xsserver VPS
 
It doesnt matter. You are not responsible for it.. So Enjoy that..
 
Ya just use it for as long as it lasts haha

Its just as good as your license for now.

Use SB also on your home pc for now u can run both. Split the tasks where less resources i guess would be taken from your pc
 
I'm having a similar problem. Got the VPS and SB is already active in someone else's name. But for some reason, SB doesn't work properly. Doesn't connect to update server, Doesn't download list of addons. What can I do? Is there some way to possibly switch licenses?
 
all you have to do is email the developers and get your licenses switched. Takes 24 hours. Enjoy it while it lasts.
 
yes, i do not think if two machines can run same license simultaneously.
 
Same here I transfered my license and it got activated with someone else name :)

Why would you post that here? If the owner finds out who you are, he WILL take legal action.

Some common sense does not hurt.

The owner of what? The other licence? His copy works too.
The owner of Scrapebox? She already know about this bug in the licencing and why would she care? How many Scrapebox copies do you think have been sold? 2?
 
I had the same issue a while back and mailed Scrapebox support to report the bug. Here's what they said:

Yes thanks, what can happen is if 2 people get the same VPS/Server from the
same company who loads identical Windows OS images and one person is
activated and does not run ScrapeBox at least once to claim the license and
then other person runs ScrapeBox they will instead claim that license.

It's extremely rare, but it can happen.

True its just a coincident dude Scrapebox license checking is online system its not a bug just as scrapebox team mentioned above !
