Foreign Language Site with 70k unique visitors per day

Dear All,

I run a news site which gets 70k unique visitors every day. I used to use Adsense, but since the content is in a foreign language, and the visitors are mostly from a small Asian country, I can only make a very low amount every day, less than $5/day in fact.

I was wondering if you could give me some tips and share your ideas on how I may increase my revenue. Any contribution here is highly appreciated. Since the site is based in a low-income site, affiliates are pretty much useless. So, just a heads up.

Is it a site based in the Philippines?

What I would do is look at what competitors are doing in terms of their advertising and copy it. Approach companies from said country and offer advertising on your site and provide them with the facts and how this will benefit their business.

You need to explain to them that PR means shit, show them analytics traffic. If they have half a brain they would advertise on your site without hesitation but you need to be professional about it. Call them up, go to their office with tie and all, do a nice presentation and hook them up. Give them early bird discount or whatever.

70k per day is not a small number, thats real business.

If the traffic is from a country like Nepal or Bhutan and you get something like 1 cent for a click, you can't make a fortune isn't it?

You can try to find some affiliate program for your country, try to contact some company that doesn't have much online exposure and make a deal with them, try to create your own service/product and promote it on your news site.
