I just bought a domain with exact global searches of 6600 and has an exorbitant CPC of $50! The domain name is the exact keyword.com.

I've been doing SEO for several sites, but thought i'd fiddle around with Adsense too. Is this a wise decision? or was I a fool? Any inputs please?

Just throw up an autoblog or amazon store and let it run...focus on creating more SEO clients in the saved time...

imo

If you put it in the right way it can come out just right, there aren't many foolish decisions.. money has many forms, it's up to you to make it :D

btw is the keyword a religion (sort of)?

Why would you recommend putting up an amazon store on a High CPC keyword domain?

The domain is most likely not related to a product that amazon even sells.

It's worth a try. Just remember not to put the adsense ads on till you rank for your respective keyword.

Ironically enough I did the same thing not too long ago with a low competition cpc-28 buck domain. It's not the best earner due to the lower traffic, but it (and it's sub pages) haven't fully ranked for the target keywords yet.

If it helps throw the site on Google webmaster tools since you are using adsense. This way, it's easier for you to see what keywords traffic is actually coming from via Google.

Thanks everyone... Been more of an active income earner until now helping clients with SEO. Was just thinking of taking baby steps in adsense, which can be more passive income. Am pretty lazy you see ;)

The site is in the weight loss niche. And the competition is very high. .83/1 as per google adwords tool.

Hard work will pay off, just don't become lazy and you will succeed!

Thanks for the suggestion. I guess I'd put in adsense only 3-4 months later, once I have the site ranking in the first 5 pages of google. Is that a good time frame or what do you think?

An exact match domain (if it's a true EMD) shouldn't take 3-4 months to rank. You should be able to get the EMD on the first page in about a month and #1 in 2-3 months.

I'm just being pessimistic. Cause then I wouldn't be too bothered why the site isn't moving. As i said, imagine the keyword is "pumpkinjumping" the domain is "www.pumpkinjumping.com" ;) Interestingly, the keyword "pumpkin" has more than 200k searches too. So it seemed a pretty good domain.
