Please let me tell you my story real quick...

I am currently 16 years old...I started IM when I was 13. Clickbank is the only monetization method I have ever used. I failed for two years (when I was 13-15) at writing "How-To" articles and linking to affiliate products. I made maybe two $20 sales or so through out that entire time.

Then when I turned 16, I came to BHW. I read a post about writing review articles and decided to implement it with my own little twist.

This finally worked for me, and I wrote like two articles every day...I started bringing in a consistent income of about $20-$30 (this was HUGE for me). I am sure you all know that feeling when something you did actually worked.

Then Google Panda came in (or at least I think this is what caused it). Almost all of my articles dropped in the SERPS. I lost almost all my income.

This was during the school year (and I'm in sports) so I didn't have enough time to get it going again. I decided I would try again in the Summer.

Well now it's summer. I have been writing review articles (3 every day) and submitting them with AMR. It doesn't seem to be working though...I have been working and working and nothing is happening. I am starting to return to that feeling of failure that I had before...

I have $900 from my previous success. I am willing to spend every last penny of it on IM. I miss that feeling of success so much it's killing me.

I have:
  • $900 to spend
  • AMR
  • Namecheap account
  • Hostgator Hosting (baby plan, so unlimited domains)
  • ALOT of time (it's summer and I am dedicated).
  • Determination and an ability to twist simple methods.

I don't have:
  • Scrapebox, Xrumer, or SENUKE, (but I could get them)
  • Accounts with any other networks besides Clickbank (I could try and get into CPA I guess?)

All I'm asking for is maybe a few encouraging words and to point me in the right direction. I will respond to any PM's. I am desperate for help. Thanks so much guys....

don't have all your eggs in the same basket,

I am 16 to, and I have several ebooks for sale and I make money with facebook fanpages, if one goes wrong I have a backup!

and AMR is not really for articles that people will read, its more link juice

Thanks for the tips! Yeah I thought I didn't have all my "eggs in the same basket" because I was writing for different products...but I guess not:/

Yes and I have used it for link juice...but my website failed so I decided to go back to my method that worked. I had previously just been submitting articles to Articlesbase but since I had AMR i thought I might as well throw them on there too.

You write Ebooks and sell them on Clickbank?

You always want to diversify your income streams. Instead of writing articles and putting them in article directories, why not build a website which reviews products or services? Then optimize. More stable and longer lasting. You have more control over it.

You would be well served by building a VARIETY of backlinks to your sites to get ranked... just using articles is not a good strategy.

What they said, spread out with all you do. Keep reading BHW & eventually new methods will come to mind.

Sometimes I question even if backlinks plays a major role in ranking like it did it the past.

Words of encouragement...

Well don't worry about being young like I did. I started internet marketing when I was 12 or 13. It's been a long journey, but the thing that I stick to is that success won't come immediately. Knowing this, the first thing you need to do is put things into action! If you see a method on CPA, just do it! You may only earn $4 on your first try, but hey it's money right? Once you know you can make $4, think of a way in which you could do what you just did, but do five times that. Then you're making $20/day with just one method. Keep thinking like this and you will find yourself implementing methods left and right. Scaling them up and up until you see profits of $100+ daily. Even if you don't see success immediately, stick to my first point... success won't come immediately! Over time your profits will grow.

Case in point: I created an online game site when I was 13. I was just trying to make a site that I loved to play on and also so I could learn adsense, CPC, ad placement, etc. I also wanted to learn about backlinks, SEO, and other stuff like that. I worked on it every day and couldn't see any significant adsense revenue for the first six months. Then I started making $2 a day by the end of my first year. Every six months to a year it increases a dollar or two a day just by me adding content little by little and also by the natural growth of the site. The site that I started when I was 13, trying to help me learn more about internet marketing has become a small income stream for me, and it's growing every year.

MAIN POINTS:
- Success won't come immediately
- Scale up EVERYTHING
- Pursue what you love to
do

I am 17; just keep working hard and you will see the results!
By the way, maybe I have a little work for you, just PM if you are interested. :)

Why haven't you set up a niche site?

Get a good low comp keyword set with around 1200-5000 exact per month each. Find a product that matches. Grab up an exact match domain. Write or have somebody write the content for you. Make each page optimized for a different keyword that is similar to your main.

Then play the backlinking game :D

Do white hat links at first until your site settles in a good position then get a little more aggressive with it.

Backlinks your backlinks with social bookmarks, blog comments, and amr blasts. Get your important links indexed and or crawled.

Rinse and repeat when your happy with rankings and have a positive cashflow.

Thanks for the advice...I did make one site like that (Review site for Proflight Simulator) and got it ranked for the first page. After a few weeks and 0 sales I gave up on it. I guess that was probably a bad product to promote like that.

Okay...do you think I should get scrapebox then? I dont have any experience with diversing backlinks.

Sometimes I do too...with that review site I made for Proflight Simulator it ranked on the top page before I even built links. Then I bought a link package to secure the position and it dropped way down in the serps...

Thank you....I really need to get into some CPA networks...

Thank you...I think I will do this. My first niche site (for Proflight Simulator) I didn't really do any keyword research....just set it up for the keyword "Proflight Simulator Review".

Yes, niche site is the way to go. If you want a guide to get you started check out the challenge in my signiture...

Thanks! I was actually following your challenge for a while. I stopped though because I got banned from adsense I while ago (I kept clicking my own ads when I was like 12.)

Thanks everyone for the help!

I don't want to give you preaching on what to do. You are in BHW and you very well know where the search button and download section is, and there are lot of methods out here to guide you.

Let me tell you about myself. I started all this when I was 25, I am now 28, in my previous years, I was said that adsense is dead and everyone should jump on to the cpa wagon. I did not, it is not the money they lured me, it is the motivation to do what I love and to prove others wrong. I focused on adsense based websites which gave users true value. Today I own 43 adsense websites in different domains and making me well around 150 to 200 dollars a day, 100% white hat.

Then I was told that if we are getting in to affiliate marketing, then we should focus on clickbank products and not sell physical products as the commission percentage in click bank is 50 to 75 percentage where as amazon or other affiliate programs gave 4-8 percentage commission. My idea was different, i focused on volumes and not on the percentage and I am quite successful with amazon/linkshare marketing.

Finally everyone spoke about niche, micro niche and nana niche. I did not like the idea of catering to a market of 1000 odd people, but wanted to focus on a market much bigger, so I chose highly competitive keywords, like earn money online, earn online money, fitness and weight loss and so on. I am not ranking number 1, but I am ranking between 4 to 10. here I have an opportunity to rank number one and get millions of visitors rather than being at the top and catering to just 1000 odd searches a day.

To me running away from competition and to focus on areas where you don't have anyone to compete is a sign of weakness, but some call it as smartness. I don't see it that way, you win a race only when you compete with others, if you run the race alone obviously you will win it.. but won't get the satisfaction of doing it.

Don't worry about what others say, if you have an idea, and if you like doing that, then pursue it.. Come what may.. if you pursue something with a single minded focus, you will succeed.

All the best..

It is said that when you're too tired to move on, too depressed to notice the sunshine, then it's too bad if you stop right there. Most times, the open door to Success is just around the corner. :)

May be not! ;) May be, you are moving in a total wrong direction, may be you're doing it all wrong, may be you need to go back to Square One and sort out the Method ... and Try Again! Hope you get "it" soon.

Chill -n- Cheer!

Research around for a plan that sounds good or a plan you want to work towards, set up a goal, grab the necessary tools/manpowers, or set up a schedule if it only requires you to do something, and don't stop until you've gotten to a certain point.

Rather than frantically try to make money by trying a little bit of different thing, stick to one thing and work your butt off on it before moving on.

Oh, and don't give up. Hard work pays off.

Thanks for the advice...switching methods too much has always been a problem with me :bebored:

yea man i started when i was 15, i'm now 25... I didn't make any money until i was 21 LOL so I know your pain. but since you have had the TASTE of success I'm sure you will be so hungry you won't stop till you find success...

I know you want to be rich NOW, but don't worry you WILL be in the future! Just keep at it, stay hungry, and focus on what works and the things that directly bring you more money! Don't waste time (like me) perfecting the logo, or video when you need to be driving more traffic heheh

EDIT: LOL DAMNIT this is an old thread... (waste of time)

I wonder how his summer ended up..

Slacking is the biggest challenge. Your first step should be to execute the few single digit ideas you have. Once you have successfully executed a couple of them, your next step should be to scale up. That is how you make some good money.
