VIP section for Downloads and Money making

I concur with BlackSeo.
Seniority status first (100 posts), and THEN be able to get invited to the VIP section.
Having a section dedicated to VIP applicants, who can post new shares or techniques in order to gain entry is a great idea, but it will also attract people who just copy/paste the sh*t from somewhere else (another forum). But I suppose anyone caught doing so would just face a perma-ban.
You could always just do what some other forums do and charge $55 for a year's worth of VIP access... I know of at least one off-hand.

Hopefully you can look at past behavior? I've been sharing tips, I'm still new so it hasn't been much yet but hopefully that can be taken into account. I wouldn't want to see reposts by people who contribute a lot or people posting garbage just to get in.

I don't think two exclusive sections would solve anything. One I understand, but two is overkill. Why not disable post count or points for certain sections? A lot of forums disable points or Credits like it's called here in certain sections and it helps cut down on the spam. For example in the downloads section only the original posters post would count, in the introduction section only the original posters post would count, the lounge and suggestions section none of the posts would count. Or even make it where none of the posts count in any of the sections.
Personally I could care less about post count, it doesn't mean shit any where you go, it's what you do in the posts you make that counts, not the actual count. I post here because I want to and enjoy it, not because I want to get into certain sections (although I do like some of the things in the download section).

I think this is a bad idea personally..
It will become some sort of "political" thing with some members not wanting some other members in the vip and newbies not getting a fair opportunity to learn.
So I don't get how a newbie could make a money making contribution..
However, I don't understand how I have -8 credits? I haven't posted anything since the credits were erased..lol

The idea is great, but needs alot of monitoring to be fair and successful, and what about the newbies who actually want to learn and contribute?
I think both sides of the story has value. On one hand I totally see what Michel is saying.The drive by people who more or less just come in to plunder what they can, do the minimum of BS posting and then leave are really just wasting space here.
But, how do you avoid locking out some of the Noobs who do want to learn. They technically can't contribute something that makes money because that is why they came here, to learn. Yet they can't learn unless they already know how? Kinda defeats the purpose.
I personally do not know much at all, I try to contribute what little I do know but again that is limited. So now am I basically an outcast because of my lack of knowledge.
There may be another solution. We have mods and then there are a group of trusted members. Have a section where noobs can post a request to the VIP junior section. If a mod or trusted member feels they are actually contributing they can sort of sponser them with a vote of some type. a person needs a certain number of votes to get in. This way an honest noob looking to learn still has a shot.
Also these same people would have the power to decide if the person is abusing the privilages and can vote them out or temporarily suspend privilages. Favoritism can become a problem but the bottom line is in a public forum with so many different backrounds and levels of experience it will be hard to find a perfect solution.
Maybe just combine my ideas with the others , its going to be very tough to do this and be fair to everyone.
I really enjoy this forum personally and would hate to be left out due to a lack of knowledge.

Being a noob I am here to learn. I can only hope a newer or less read newbie asks a question I can answer in order to help out.
Sure sharing dowmloads is important for some but knowledge is king so no matter what you decide keep us noobies in your thoughts because you were there once.

I think the general idea behind the VIP section is not to limit ALL downloads or ALL of the good techniques, only the really good ones that stand the risk of degrading very quickly if released into the general public. Don't worry, you'll still be learning stuff and exchanging ideas.

i do not know, if i think better 3 level of memberships-free, junior vip, senior vip- would be too much .
The noobs are right when they say that they should have a chance to learn. After all, this is the purpose of the forum, to help the others. Amazing new money making techniques are already selected by mods and moved to vip section, so that they can be kept alive as long as possible.

I dont post much ,and the reason being is because im a noob.. and I dont know what money making methods work.. thats why I come here.. This has been the most laid back ,and informative forum that Ive found concerning IM, and thats the appeal of this forum. I think we should leave things EXACTLY as they are now. If you start to change what is making this forum popular, you will start to lose the noobs who found this forum with the purpose of learning IM!
So I hope the MODS change their minds with this, because this is myfavorite forum on the net.

honestly I really don't know what to say. even what luckyJ said has a good point...after all,i'm also a noob and could relate to it.
I think,what I could only suggest,is maybe mods or admins give out some affiliate links in which we could signup on to...that way you can determine if we really are for real.
