We don't know if he was drunk or not. The autopsy details haven't been released yet.
I can't stand drunk drivers either and anyone including my family who dies through drink driving has deserved their fate.
But that does not mean that he wasn't a great guy. He just did a very silly thing and he paid with his and his friend's life.

Dude stop being a douche bag. Just because these guys have their act on TV doesn't mean they act like this all the time. The guy was actually really nice. He never got a big head, and was a good guy.
Now he definitely shouldn't have been drinking and driving, and going 110 mph. That I will give you. But don't say you are glad he is dead. That is just f...ed up.
