If u see anyone online in bhw at the moment, u simply go to his profile and click on "chat" and a chat-conversation window will popup, which u can conversate instead of pming, adding on skype, aim, emailing etc.

Faster way of communicate would be awesome.

Great idea. Should definitely look into adding this feature. However, it could get very annoying (spammers, etc.) so I suggest allowing it for friends only.

That's a great idea .

Another option could be if we could embed skype to have group conversations. The only problem i foresee in a group conversation is that we would loose out on documenting the important knowledge that is shared on the board.

Best part is that u can conversate in real time, no waiting for email, pming, adding on skype bla bla. Maybe u just need a little help with something, u can take it over BHW Chat Window, and might fix it that way. =)

or you could all install yahoo messenger
add each other and open a private conference
which allows as i remember upto 50 friends in
the conference chat room with text and voice chat
and its still free

Must have some kind of restrictions... You don't wanna see newbies clicking on your profile and harassing you with stupid questions. So this should be allowed only for members that are more the 5-6 months on the forums etc. Maybe some other restriction ideas. It shouldn't be that easy because many people don't respect other peoples tolerance levels.
