This may be a stupid question, but I'm going to ask it anyway.
Instead of dumping a couple hundred dollars into equipment in the hope you can make a couple of bucks a day, why not take said couple hundred dollars, watch the charts and wait for the Bitcoin value to drop down to about $10 (like it has a few times in the last couple of months), buy 10 or so, and wait a week or so for it to jump back up to above $20 (which it has also done)?
The chart for this stuff looks like a roller-coaster, but, if you look closely, it always seems to bounce back. And I'm guessing it usually will.
Why?
With so many people invested in it, there are too many players involved to let it completely tank. And even if it does, if you play it smart and don't get stupid/greedy, you can keep your loses to a minimum if it does completely tank.
I'm thinking of maybe waiting for it to dip down to around $10 again, and throw maybe $100 or so at it.
If I lose, big deal. I've lost more than that in one hand of poker.
If it goes back up to over $30, I've tripled my money, and really didn't do a damn thing.
Seems smarter to me than buying a bunch of equipment for something that I'm not completely sure is going to be around for a long time.
