I have two sites I am using this method on, one is about three months old, and starting to do very well. But I don't want to share that, as it's one of my top performing niches and I don't want to give others ideas about it and create competittion.
I will share the 2nd of my sites I am using this method on:
http://www.totallyrecycled.com/
It's a green niche site.
For this one I have only been going for 2 weeks. I think Adsense may be alright for monitization, or niche related ads CB etc, but I don't bother with that sort of thing on a project like this until I actually have traffic. For this site, I am finding that articles are getting picked up an indexed by google in the space of a few hours. I am using an aged domain, that was in dmoz, but got removed at the point I won it in a godaddy auction (lesson learnt there - dmoz removes them as the expiry date ticks over). I have done some backlink building, in the form of article submissions, and forum profiles, and I am starting to see long tail terms coming in, so all is going to plan. I guess the key is to keep the content good, and at least partially original. With all the talk of the google panda update devaluing content farms, quality is way more important than quantity.
That site of yours tried to install malware on my site with an auto-redirect. Maybe some ad network you have, unless it's you (but I doubt you're that stupid).
