[Method] Start your own Wordpress article directory that gets free original content

I have two sites I am using this method on, one is about three months old, and starting to do very well. But I don't want to share that, as it's one of my top performing niches and I don't want to give others ideas about it and create competittion.

I will share the 2nd of my sites I am using this method on:

http://www.totallyrecycled.com/

It's a green niche site.

For this one I have only been going for 2 weeks. I think Adsense may be alright for monitization, or niche related ads CB etc, but I don't bother with that sort of thing on a project like this until I actually have traffic. For this site, I am finding that articles are getting picked up an indexed by google in the space of a few hours. I am using an aged domain, that was in dmoz, but got removed at the point I won it in a godaddy auction (lesson learnt there - dmoz removes them as the expiry date ticks over). I have done some backlink building, in the form of article submissions, and forum profiles, and I am starting to see long tail terms coming in, so all is going to plan. I guess the key is to keep the content good, and at least partially original. With all the talk of the google panda update devaluing content farms, quality is way more important than quantity.

That site of yours tried to install malware on my site with an auto-redirect. Maybe some ad network you have, unless it's you (but I doubt you're that stupid).

Shit.....that's what you get for sharing a URL on BHW!

Yea there isn't any malware on the site.

I actually think there might be some kind of false report that gets generated when using AMR. When AMR interacts with some sites my virus protection will get triggered and block something, but when I go to the same site and click everything I can click on I don't get any virus warnings.

In IE, I am getting a malware alert now. I am looking into it.

I guess it is malware that specifically targets vulnerabilities in IE. I guess that is what AMR uses too.

Have you discovered the source of the malware yet?

Very useful post. Interested if the malware comes from AMR

Yes I got the warning about MalWare. What happened here? Let us know when you figure it out. Here is my warning from the Opera browser:

Malware Warning

Visiting this page may be harmful. It has been reported for distributing malicious software.

Opera Software strongly discourages visiting this page.

The malware attack doesn't come from AMR, it's just that wordpress blogs with open registration are easy to hack....which is why plenty of the sites on AMR are infected with malware, including my site. I cleaned it yesterday, but I must not have got all the backdoors and it's infected me again. It might be worth trying this method with one of the other platforms other than Wordpress....because this is a pain in the ass. Also never a good idea to share URL's on BHW, basically inviting people to have a go.
