My Expired Domain

I have a domain that I started on a free hosting from MicroSoft. I let it expire about a year or so ago as it was tied to a business that I dissolved.

Today out of curiosity I searched the domain in G search. The ABOUT page is still on page one of G. Next I went and found out that I can register the same .COM I had before.

Question is should I re-register that domain and if/so would I benefit from it ?

I don't have any experience with expired domains so I'm asking of those of you who do.

what you need to find out is what kind of website you can setup on the domain and how many searches you get from google.. after that bulid the website and sell it on flippa if you don't wanna continue working on that site

My question was wither it was worth it to reinstate the site after being dropped for about a year.

Would the age still be there or would it be seen as a new domain ?

Based on what I've read, you can assume that Big G and other search engines will see it as a new domain. It's possible they won't, but I wouldn't buy the domain just because it has age.

If you have a plan to use it and it's a good domain for that use, then go for it!

Go to domaincrawler and if it has google backlinks or indexes then it could be a money spinner- how many years old?
