Dammit! I just got my ass banned from an affiliate program for TOS violation. I had just joined it a couple of days ago and thought things were starting off quite well.

Yeah, yeah ... I know this is a Black Hat crowd here, but I didn't even do it on purpose. I'm somewhat pissed since my ppc campaign took off like crazy yesterday with 50% conversions and they terminated my account today.

Turns out I got busted for using proprietary search terms. Ok, fair enough ... I should have read the TOS more carefully.

Ok now, here's the dumbass question: How does a merchant know what search terms I'm using? If they're big enough, do they just get to call Google and ask?

Again, I would have steered clear of the violation had I even remembered the TOS line item about it. I'm so pissed off that I wasn't more careful.

Thanks in advance,
Sine

Dude was this the Amazon thing? Sorry to hear that man...

No, not Amazon. Had it been Amazon, I would have posted it to my other thread. I had just begun this campaign on Monday; and sometime today I decided I must be a genius because of the conversion rate (just before I got my ass canned). Hmph!

But please, don't let the actual facts discourage you from offering me as much sympathy and condolence as you can muster! Carry on!

They might just search those words to make sure they are the only ones using them.

LOL...there will be no condolence here except a big fat "that sucks" :)

I have gotten shut down on some offers for TOS breach but jesus man they canned you?

Yeah, they canned me. ... sniffle ...

I just carried out an act of contrition in the form of a groveling email. They'll probably just tell me to fuck off.

Was this cpa empire. They had a reminder in the log in area about an affiliate spamming myspace.

Not trying to be in your business, but would like to know who to avoid when spamming.
