Hey guys,

I run a very popular website in the Forex industry which earns me $5k-$7k per month. The details of the site are as follows:

Members and Stats

- Mailing list of about 6,000 people who get emails weekly and have a great relationship with me. These are all double opt-in and not collected through scammy lead gen pages.
- 11,375 unique per month on average with 35,211 visits per month on average.
- 48% bounce rate.
- Average time spent on site 6 min.

The bounce rate and time on site is brought down as we have a very popular chat room that is hosted on another server and out stats cannot track on that server. So the people that visit for the chatroom appear to bounce but technically they are going to our chatroom.

Money
-The site has a advertising contract with a company which bring in $2,000 per month. It is a flat fee charged to the company not based on impressions ect
-The site has very few adsense placements and it earns on eveage $50 per month through adsense.
-I sell an video course that I created through the site for $500 a course and another course for $300. With one email to my members list per month the courses earn me roughly $5,000. If I really push and send several sales emails or run a special offer the site can generate up to $8,000 in a month just from courses.

Rankings & Reputation
-In the top 5 for most of our keywords.
-My site is one of the top 5 visited sites in it's industry.

Whats on the Site
-Some of the most popular tool in the Forex industry.
-One of the most popular chat rooms in the industry.
-Hundreds of very popular articles and e-books written by me.
-Hours of free educational videos recorded by me that keep users coming to the site.

How much do you think I could sell this site for?

I have never sold a site so I am sure I am missing some important stuff, let me know if more info is needed please.

I'm a site broker but I do smaller sites, but if you want someone to broker it for you, this site would probably be best for meathead to sell, he can sell it for you if he accepts it (most likely yes), you'll be satisfied :)

Here's the link to his site (make a request)

Good luck on the sale mate.

Thanks mate. I have contacted the broker but I am still curious to get a quick estimate on the value.... I know lots of different factors come into play bust just a ballpark figure would be great.

Well I do not have the link etc, but Thomas should probably be able to give you an estimate.

If listed through the right broker you could get 60K.

If meathead is flipping enterprises from flippa hes probably the best guy to go through.

40-100k not a bad estimate mate...depends if you get an auction going...have ya tried flippa...and do you have google analytic stats and proof of earning for your claims...if everythings kosher then no reason why you couldn't flip it for more than 40k...let me know if ya interested...can get it sold for a small % of sale..

and what would ya say to a one time offer to your list my Forwx affiliate program pays $1000 on 1st and increases by $100 dollar increments each additional sale...

let me know if ya interested...60/40 split in your favour obviously...

Most will agree that a website can be sold for about 10 - 20 times of the monthly profit ...

Seriously mate, don't sell the site just like that.. Start building another one, and once you start hitting $2K from the new site, sell this one

Who knows? By then, you may not feel the need to sell this site :)

meathead is the person u should go with . hes real professional in this buying/selling business

You can get whatever your last 12 months earnings are. It's that simple.

A broker is a good way but you could also do it yourself via flippa.

I've been selling recently and lucky to find some very good buyers. Beware because there are a ton of timewasters and dumbasses out there.

For this reason I might try to join some site flipping communities as you get to know your buyers and sellers there first before trading with them.

Let's say you earn $5k per month, it's $60k per year, if you want a return of 10% per year your site is worth around $600K USD, so I think it's a good amunt for you.

Why give advice if you clearly have no idea what you're talking about?

The main issue with taking advice from forums is people like you who just spread misinformation and give terrible advice.

Someone came to me the other day with a domain he got valued at $5m. Past sales showed me it was worth more like $10k. Now the dude will NEVER sell his domain as he thinks it's worth so much.
