How to select half list in txt file quickly ?

Hey guys,

Let's say I have 5 million lines in a txt file, now, I want to select 1 million lines, are there faster way to do this or do I have to scroll and scroll and scroll ?

Are there any shortcut keys to be able to use to scroll bar function while selecting the lines at the same time.Or do you know any other method.

If you want to be perfect on doing that, here is the way.

Open it up, and use the goto function and go to the exact line that you need. I mean, type in the number, and it will automatically take you there. Now hold down shift button and press Home button together with Cntrl key which would select all the lines to the top.

Now you know how to do it perfect

Holding shift+home takes you to the beginning of the line, not document
