Sig removed although no violation?

As per this topic title my sig got removed although I think I did not violate any policy regarding links, affiliate links or anything like that.
If I did could a MOD let me know what I did and what is actually allowed?

The sig rules have changed but the official rules were never updated. I asked about this a while ago. Basically you can't promote anything unless you are JR VIP or higher and then you can promote aff links but not your own products unless you list them in BST.

If you have a site where you're not selling stuff, like a blog or whatever, you can promote that. This is the response the mods gave me.

my first and second sig was removed too the best thing you can do is make a sig and send a message to a mod Wiz is really good i like him, and ask the mod if your sig that you want to use is okay, dont wait that you will get an infraction or worst ban due to posting illegal sigs, ask a mod they will reply instantly

Ya, it doesnt need to be a link. If you are doing anything promotional its not allowed unless you are JR VIP or higher AND it is listed in BST here or you are an affiliate.

I had a sig for years, they just recently changed this although it hasn't been updated in the rules. Also I noticed it was removed right about the same time a newer mod started offering a similar service...
