Hey all. I posted in the Introductions forum earlier today, and this will be first attempt to post a 'real' thread. I'm not sure if my questions fit the label "White Hat SEO" perfectly, but I feel that the bulk of what I'm trying to learn is a lot closer to that than to "black hat".
I'm reasonably experienced in building out sites, but linkbuilding has been a weak point and I'd like to turn it into a strength, eventually. For the past year I've concentrated on building out EMD affiliate sites with some OK success, and would like to linkbuild to them now. In the longer term, I'd like to work out a plan for building out new EMDs and linkbuilding, as well as to try more advance stuff along with some of the commercially available SEO tools/servvices. For now I want to learn some basic techniques for low competition SEO - web 2.0 type stuff basically. I'll also be doing things by hand, for now...
At the moment I'm wondering if should I be concerned about doing many registrations from the same IP? I.e. creating 10-20 Youtube/Tumblr/Twitter accounts over a span of a few days? Any protips regarding that would sure be appreciated.
Also, are there any good resources/ebooks/guides/videos that I can use to learn the basics? I don't mind paying for good info and I'm open to joining a site like wealthyaffiliate to streamline my learning curve. I'd welcome any general or specific advice that helps me get started.
