How did you handle it when the books were out of stock?
When price changes is easy as you can simply take a small loss on one trade and then change the listing ASAP but when the book is out of stock seems like it would be a pretty significant problem...
Books were shipped directly to the customer. The only issue I had, was in the last week of selling books, when there was problems with international postage which caused huge delays to Australia. However, even then, in two months I only ever had two or three messages asking when they will receive their book. I had a LOT of feedback claiming that delivery was extremely fast, product was perfect etc.
Wasn't this exact method posted on here a week or two ago?
Same question.good method but what happens when your 100 or even 1000+ listings dont sell? youll just get raped with listing and relisting fees
maybe i should just start up an ecommerce store that lists all books via the API and SEO the sheet out of it. but then again amazon would be my biggest competitor. fail.![]()
That's a pretty nice method.Another version of this method is drop shipping books from Amazon to your eBay buyer. This actually happened to me and I figured out the method.
1) Get an Amazon Prime account (free for students if you have or can get a .edu email address)
2) List books on eBay that you can drop ship from Amazon. Mark up the price 0.50c to a dollar. Use an eBay calculator to figure out how much profit you can make.
3) Set your eBay shipping price at 4.99.
4) Complete orders using the free shipping provided by Amazon.
5) Collect your $$$
Extra tip: what caught my eye on ebay was the seller said free upgraded 2 day shipping. 2 day shipping compared to media mail (5+ days) was an easy choice.
