hi
i am trying to decide if to remain on a vps or buy home server. I have about 30 sites then the norm software including xrumer and senuke. What do you think is best ?

If you put a server in your home you would get speeds no where near the same as a datacenter so thats a big no.

Buy a good VPS or Dedicated server.

+1

Also make sure your hosting with someone who'll allow you to run software like XRumer.

For xrumer, you will need tons of bandwidth and strong cpu. Especially for the new version (xrumer 7), because of the recaptcha. Dedicated server is very recommended.

Thanks for advice, I have to accept what you say and havve signed up for a vps. They are very aware of what I need it for so shouldnt be any problem

I do wonder if we are approaching the day that homeservers are viable...
Probably not in the UK or US, but bandwidth is expected to reach 1GB/sec in korea by next year!!!! (blew my mind when i found out they were moving up to that at a time when the UK is struggling to roll out 25 meg/second)

I have had a VPS, for about a week, (basically renting a quad xenon blade) and can do nothing but sing its praises.

4gb dedicated RAM
quad core xeon (entire dedi processor)
5TB/mth BW
1gigabit connection (offshore)
Remote desktop

Able to run 2 AMRs, 2 SEnukes and 8 scrapeboxes at once on it:rolleyes:

I can process 1.5 mllion blog comments in 5-6 hrs  (checking autoapproves takes 1-2 hrs from this many as well)

The one new site I've used it on, PPC of $4.50 suggested (new highly competitive keyword with huge earning potential for authority sites), has done things I never imagined in the last week.

All for $25/mth

only $25/month - it's too low...

I have a home pc dedicated to xrumer 7 ans scrapebox - my connection is 100 mbit/s

Get a powerful dedi for these tools man. You can't have the internet connetion a dedicated server or a VPS can have.

Let us know the host and we'll believe that you're only paying 25.

i prefer VPS or dedicated. both are awesome. but for business purpose i think VPS is better.
thanks
