Keyword Tools,,,scam?

Hi everybody,,let see I have keyword elite and niche inspector i ran a keyword based on guitar and a bunch of suggested keywords came out. Now I saw 1 keyword that said: guitar playing in alaska and it said 1 result in google so I thought hmmm cool let me go check manually at the google to see if it is in fact true,,well guess what?? There are about 1.2 million pages of results. Are all these keyword tools suck? I mean if I am looking for longtail keywords i would hope that these tools are somewhat accurate?? This is on Niche Inspector btw. And don't let me get started with Keyword Elite....

Or should I just go for as many keywords and stop worrying about longtail searches? Meaning as much keywords as much as possible???

Hi ashley wow you are still as pretty as the last time i seen your picture , anyway lets get back to the point , i to have used several keyword tools including those you mention and they are useless , example i type in simply algarve golf and it says nothing found even in overture , now try that in google and you will see that what you are saying is correct , just my 0.2€

the results from niche inspector are not the number of searches on google, but the number of exact phrases found, aka search in google for your keyword put in quotes so that you see how much competition you have, more accurate in most cases.

Overture tells you the number of people searching for that keyword, google tells you the number of websites containing that search.

Yeah, i guess if you do not know how to use them, these keyword tools are pretty useless. If you know how to use them, they are GOLDMINE>

They're not delivering results later than January 2007, last I checked. Am I incorrect?

Correct me if I am wrong but over the last 3 years of using keyword tools I have never seen a tool to report accurate Google results because Google does not allow that. However since the great program "Gtrends made easy", it's now possible. I would expect to see a bunch of keyword programs released rehashing what Benjamin has already provided free. Fuck this is off topic isn't it...

GTME hasn't a very intuitive GUI, in my opinion, as compared to the tools to which I am accustomed, so I've put off using it until I can devote some time to learning how to use the results screen. I'll take another look at it though.

The best tool I have found at finding long tail keywords is Hittail...it works best if you are already getting search engine or Adwords traffic...it will let you know the exact search term used to find your website...The best thing, it's free... hittail.com

tons of keywords does not translate to sale, believe me when I say that. I think its best if you stick it out with long tail

how do you know that gtrends is accurate, if the others aren't?

eh.. you propably didn't put keyword in quotes.
example on keyword free yellow bananas

without quotes - 2 millions results: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...&ct=result&cd=1&q=free+yellow+bananas&spell=1

with quotes - 9 results:
http://www.google.com/search?q="fre...a&rls=org.mozilla:pl:official&hs=6mX&filter=0

When you look for competition, always check in quotes "".

Thats right,
you want to rank for keyword without quotes, however, you check competition putting keyword in quotes ;]

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the search done without the quotes will also contain searchs on any part of that phrase search for example in this case it will contain search on Alasaka and on guitar and on playing or any combination of these words.

I never thought about searching with Quotes What about Searching with this "~" Symbol....
