I have a question about building backlinks to the web 2.0 properties that link back to the money site.

When building the backlinks to web 2.0, are you supposed to use anchor text? for example the keywords in the web 2.0 prop have keywords like seo, seo services linking to the money site, am I supposed to now backlink these web 2.0's with those same keywords anchored?

You should do it exactly like you do when you build backlinks to your main website.
So yes, IMO you should use anchor text.

Cheers.

Yeah it's beneficial to that page and to your money site if you use anchor text. Otherwise, you're just building backlinks and not ranking for keywords.

You should never use the same anchor text you are
Targeting because before you know it your web 2.0 will rank higher then your money site for that keyword. Just use a theme based keyword eg if your targeting the term v8 engine, put the anchor text as cars. But honestly I wouldn't make a difference if you backlinked your web2.0 with a financed or health based article and have an anchor text as "diets" it is still passing link juice and that's all it's about.

Thanks for this response. This makes a lot of sense.

I tend to use closely related terms, much more related than nicknick suggested. For me, if I'm targeting the term v8 engine, I would use keywords like "used engines", "cheap engines", 8 cylinder engines, etc.
