Simple (+free) Facebook UNlike Automation

Last night i hit the 5k wall in liking things on one of my FB dummy accounts. Soooo in an effort to maximize the amount of use I get out of my verified Facebook accounts using Twiends, I made a simple imacro script to unlike pages and figured i would give back to the community a little more. I'm going to go step by step and then at the end put some example script.. This way you guys get a general idea of how this will work and it'll teach some of you about a pretty easy and useful add-on. Forgive me but this is going to be long and I tend to ramble on in detail. lol...

Things you will need.

• FireFox
• random facebook account with lots of "likes"
• the free iMacros addon for firefox
• about 3 minutes

After installing the IMacro plugin you'll notice you have a little iMacro icon now on the top left by your address bar.. Click it and the interface on the left will come up.

What you're going to want to do is click on the record tab and examine your options. (The click mode option is clutch for this macro btw, i'll get into that later.) Basically what you would do is navigate to Facebook, click to edit your profile, move to a section with a lot of likes and set up your macro up from that page.

So here is the fun part... Make sure you maximize FireFox, and click on the "Click Mode" button.. Change it to "Use X/Y Position" and hit OK. Now hit record, click on one of your likes (preferably at the top), click on the remove link, then click on the "wait during play button" make the delay 2 seconds, etc.

BEFORE YOU STOP RECORDING:

Click back on "click Mode and change it to "Use complete HTM tag", do the same thing as before with clicking on a like, and then clicking on remove... Add another delay of 2 seconds again and you are almost done.

You can click off recording and navigate to the edit tab. Click on edit macro and you'll see the scripted version of your actions pop up in a little window. Delete the line in the macro where it says to navigate to the Facebook page you are on. ( in this instance that would just ruin the macro). Now here is the other important part delete the second click from your XY and replace it with the second click (the remove one) from your HTML tag clicks.

Leave the wait 2 second below that line and go ahead and delete everything below that. You can add a second 2 second "wait" before everything for good measure if you would like. DON'T FORGET TO SAVE CHANGES ON FACEBOOK WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED UN-LIKING.

When you are finished it should look something like this:

You can now record and copy/paste the tag accordingly to make the macro longer before it finishes.. And using the play/loop command you can set the looping to be 9999 or something for it to run till all your likes are gone.

PS: for those curious, the reason I had you record both sets with x/y and html is pretty simple.. When you click the buttons to switch the modes for some reason it removes the link to actually remove the Facebook "like" so you need to remove it both ways initially before editing. And the reason you need the HTML version for removing the "like" is because that link tends to move around a lot.. Since the HTML tag is always the same for that one the remove and not the thing you are unliking.. yadda yadda yadda..... You get where I'm going with this.... Doing it that way will save you a lot of headaches (and popups). ..

Another cool tip for those of you with 2 monitors (like me).. You can just open up a new instance of FireFox, toss it on the second monitor, set it up, and let it do it's thing. I'm doing that right now with an account actually.
