New eBay Account (month old) suspended until I call?

I've had my eBay account open for over a month, I just verified my Paypal (stealth) and linked it to eBay.

I tried listing 1 high risk item and everything was fine, I only have 1 more high risk item to sell and so I tried listing the last one and it says:

"Thank you for selling on eBay. In order to maintain a safe and secure online marketplace, eBay may require additional verification for newer sellers from time to time. Your listings have been placed on hold until we can speak with you.

To prevent your account from being closed, please contact an eBay representative by visiting our Contact Us page. You may be asked to sign in. Representatives are available from 5AM-10PM PST, 7 days a week.

We appreciate your cooperation in verifying your account as quickly as possible and welcome you as a valued member of our trading community."


I called them today from my Tracfon and they said they could verify over the phone to bring my account back. He then asked me questions that he said were from public database. I obviously didn't know the answers so I guessed the first 2 and hung up on the third.

What can I do guys? Thank you in advance.

Well, hanging up on the guy was probably not a good idea. Better to get the questions wrong then to outright hang up on him. You just pretty much confirmed to eBay that your account is NOT on the "up and up."

I'm fairly certain that this account will not be reactivated.

For the future, don't EVER hang up the phone on someone when discussing account reinstatement or anything else for that matter. It's like admitting that you're lying.

I could have been disconnected...(Speaking as if I call back and say that I was disconnected just in case the person left notes on the account) The account would be screwed regardless right? I obviously cannot get the answers right, so I figured the account would be deemed done. I can make another stealth account I suppose but I don't know how to get around this as I do sell high risk item.

There are no ways around this?

What were u selling? A month isn't enough depending on the product and how risky it is. I think this acct is done, if u can't answer the questions they won't reinstate it. If they ask u to fax over docs maybe u can provide stealth ones. I'd work on a new stealth, u gotta go slow.
