Why all the negative energy here?

You know I just don't understand why people are so rude to each other on this site. Really. What's that all about? People calling each other idiots because they haven't read thousands of threads of information, or because they have a question that all of us needed answered at one point or another.

I come here to learn and sometimes to work with others. I don't claim to know everything, but I'm sure as hell not a beginner either. I'm somewhere in the middle and I'm humble about it. And yet I see posts all the time here, where someone has a beginner question like "What is ghosting?" or "Why do I need to rotate IPs?" and every time some jerk has to talk smack and prove how superior he/she is. Why? I mean I know the answer to those two questions, but at one point I didn't...and that's true for all of us.

Promote a positive place of learning and sharing information. Be friendly! :)

Because when you see the same questions being asked DAY IN and DAY OUT you simply get sick and tired of it. I mean, theres a search button (will answer most of the beginners questions), AND google for crying out loud. If you can't find your answer after attempting to do so on your own, post a thread! 9 out of 10 times if you can show you put in the effort the "senior members" will help you out. Everyone was a noob at some point...make it a point to LEARN and not ask to be spoonfed.

Okay, fine but when I see a question I've seen before I don't jump down their throat. I just read something else. How hard is that? And this isn't the easiest site to learn for someone that is new, ya know. Just sayin'.

@anthonysevere: This is a Forum . . . Forums are like a microcosm of the world. You will find both negative and positive people here - just like it is in the "real world".

Look for the positives and ignore the negatives. Be pro-active - not re-active.

So if you see a question that's been asked a million times you can't just let it go? You have to belittle the person asking? I saw a reply earlier that was absurd. The person asked the OP a question that was literally explained in the first sentence of the thread. Did I call the guy an idiot? No. I laughed and kept reading. Isn't that easier and friendlier? There's no advantage to spreading negative energy. If something bothers you, ignore it. That's all I'm sayin' man. Peace. :)

Thank you! I appreciate that. Maybe I'm just sensitive but there have been times when I have not wanted to use this site anymore because of all the bad vibes. But you're right. I won't let that affect me. It's a great site for learning, regardless. Thanks again! :)

He didn't get to me I'm just trying to reach people. I believe people can change for the better if they are influenced. Not everyone, but some. But your advice rings true.

Well you're right, you can't change people. But you can influence them. This thread won't change anyone but maybe one person will be influenced by it.
