Alright, so I am planning on creating a business this summer that specializes in web services. But I need help on coming up with some. Here is a little background:

I already came up with the name of the business, I'm buying the domain and hosting in 2 weeks, and then creating a logo and a little bit of design to make the site look pretty. I'll setup standard features on the site: biography, contact page, contact info, specializations, etc. I'll list the offered packages and pricing, and have Paypal enabled to order off the site.

I'll print up some business cards and brochures, setup a FB and Twitter, get fans/followers, and setup meetings with businesses.

HERE IS WHERE I NEED HELP:

What services can I offer in a package that would be relatively easy to do that would cost nothing/little to me and I could do EVERY SINGLE MONTH for the business?

It has to justify them paying a one-time $2,000 setup fee and $500 per month after that with a one year minimum contract? I have the connections to get the businesses, advice is all I need on the services that the majority of businesses need done EVERY MONTH.

Come up with anything and everything realistic, your advice and suggestions are very much appreciated!

I am only looking for 10-20 constant clients in order to keep my schoolwork in check, so take that into consideration if necessary.

There are a couple threads that cover this on here.

Seems like you should already have a good idea of what you're selling before creating a business around it.

What ideas do you already have?

Site creation/design
Email capture
Autoresponder/mailing list set up/maintenance
video creation/submission
Social media account creation/maintenance
Content creation (if the biz is ok with your words representing them) or management - make their written content into maybe video, audio, autoresponder series, ebook, etc
Google Places management

Those are a few I can think of.

I would say computer maintenance. You can charge them to come into the office, upgrade the software, clean out the machines, remove spyware, etc. Then every month you're available as they have problems.

Excellent advice from the first two.

Lol at wannabie, good advice.

Keep it coming everyone!

I would say I find video creation a pain in the arse to find a decent service though , the rest I wouldn't pay a monthly fee

Email stuff is a good one aswell

Well, I mean obviously anyone on here wouldn't pay a monthly fee because they for the most part know how to do this stuff.

What would you recommend with email services? Like autoresponders, revamping their technique of going about customer service, like that?

Well not really, I know how to do most things but i can outsource for way cheaper and I wouldn't be stuck with annual contracts

I think you should shrink the terms to 3 months but give a discount to those who sign up for a year!

Trouble is your always going to have to compete with $1 Seo and copywriters lol

You need a niche service to be honest

I'm really only going for professions (doctors, dentists, lawyers, realtors), with more than enough money to invest in this but not the knowledge on marketing. My connections alone usually impress owners the most.

I like the idea of the 3 month contract and one year discount. Definitely will take that into consideration.

What do you mean by niche service? Like providing only one specific thing in an area of their advertising that they struggle in?

I will try that out next if providing a variety of services doesn't work, it all depends on the business and exactly how much they need.
