Its an old idea that you vaguely rehashed. Its like saying " Hey guys heres a great idea to get rich. 1. Make a website, 2. get a ton of traffic and then 3. monetize it. And don't forget to thank me for this ground breaking idea.". Its a waste of everyones godamn time. How bout you find the thread that has been up for over a year which describes in detail how to do what you half assed mentioned here?

Lot of negativity in the replys here. I know some guys personally who are doing this, they use the local school as the venue and get to use the IT equipment and whiteboards etc for a fee. They are making a very large chunk of change with this method and they do it every other month.

The idea isn't new, and that would be MY complaint but it is a serious method and deserves to be taken a little more seriously.

All jokes aside this really works but not for noobs. I had to stop my aunt from buying things when we go to seminars. I just laugh at all the suckers buying IM products when all they had to do was create a free acct at BHW.

These methods do work.. Our marketing company works with businesses like these that rake in millions a year by renting conference halls and pitching groups. Low overhead and high profit. Though, these methods are definitely not for everyone. It's a lot like selling used cars, you just gotta stand in front of the dent so the customer doesn't see it until they sign the contract.

People do this, free lunch and a 4 hours presentation of what they can do for your business. If you're a good speaker and can put together a good presentation but have a track record of having done if for other businesses you will make money.

There is one real company (Forbes 500, yes Forbes 500) that does almost exactly what the OP wrote. One major difference, they don't charge anything for the presentation, about 4 hours long. Free snacks and a gift at the end.

Several attendants (professional sales people) taking US$5,000 to US$10,000 from more than half of the attendants, maybe 200 peoplein total. It is a big event.

Mostly retired people, small business owners, moms withs babies at home... and they even take --- financing --- to close the deal on the spot. And there are also the monthly fees for hosting, support... It's a OK service for the people who don't have the time and expertise but do have good money.

I know what I am saying. I was there.

Hello, its time to give back.

I am starting making money from developing web sites for small business owners , we started with the "giving away free web sites" method and now we offer $1000+ websites, $5000+ ecommerce websites and also montly internet marketing services $100+/mo.

The method should be a lecture, called somethink about "Internet and the Business", that theme will grab the attention of entrepreneurs, we need at last 100 of them were each one pays $500 upfront (500 x 100 = 50K).

The marketing will be online - seo geo targeted, email mkt, social, etc. - and offline - banners, flyers, outdoors, etc.

We need to build a plan for 8 hours of talking, were we need to cover a lot of stuff about the theme and how the company can grow using the internet.

After the lecture ends the entrepreneus need have a very good idea about the importance of the internet for their business and they need to think: "OMG, I need a Website/Ecommerce Now!"

And of course, our team members will be avaliable to close the contracts and accept the credit card payments right now.

At that point, you can sell each ecommerce for $5000 and each website for $1000, you also can offer plans for internet marketing ($200+/mo - 1 year contract), and so on.

To make it work you will need to built everything, so, plan the lecture for about 3/4 mounths from now.

We will need:
- A place with a big TV or an projector, space and chairs for everyone
- Two computers (one for the presentation and one to sell the websites)
- Very well designed logos and banners around
- At last 3 persons (one for the presentation, one to close the deals and one to serve coffee, and some food)
- The lecture time schedule should be 8-12 stop for lunch 14-18
- 18+ sales

I just get the ideia half an hour ago.
