Free High CTR Theme?

I have a domain and hosting voor my very first microniche website and I know
enough about the SEO. I have a product to promote or I could use adsense.
Now my major problem is: building a site. I don't want a webdesigner to build
it for me because I have to learn it for the future and my next websites.
Can anyone give advise about how I should make my site?
- I'll use Wordpress.

Because it's a first project I don't want to invest in a premium theme yet. Could anyone recommend a free theme and how do I edit that one? Dreamweaver?

If I can make the site, I'm totally ready to make my first money!

sounds like an option, but wasn't there someting that big G hates that kind of themes? Do I have any risk using that theme on my site(s)?

Perhaps GG doesn't like it because the CTR is higher
I was using several free themes but the CTR was not so fine, since i am using the CTR theme it has increased considerably and I had never any pb.

I read that because there are a lot of bannerblocks in the theme, the cpc is
lower, wich results in higher ctr but lower profits. Is it possible to disable some
of the banners so the cpc is higher?

A high CTR theme is not much good without visitors to click through. CTR Theme is very simple to use and is clean looking so it's not confusing to visitors.

But first you should concentrate on building your site and getting visitors to it. It's easy to change your theme later on, maybe even after you get a few customers so that you can afford a premium template.

If using wordpress then you can even start with the included twentyten theme, just remove the header logo using the settings option. Use all-in-one-seo plugin to optimise your site and start building backlinks.

Another better looking theme is inove if you want something a little smarter.

Once you start to rank you'll be able to make changes to the template etc.. to see what improves your CTR.
