AMR with backlinks

As a n00b in this area, I am beginning to grasp the basic concepts of backlinking etc. And one thing that I've seen around the forums that has caused me some confusion is people saying stuff like: "Use AMR to make relevant backlinks."

If I've understood correctly, AMR is software for submitting an article across many sites. So to use this for backlinks would mean having a link within the article? Would this be in the form of a URL or just a text anchor?

If this is the case, don't most sites have measures against mass submitted spun articles containing backlinks?

You could use anchor text with article submission. When submitting make sure its spunned about 50%+ so its still readable so many directories can accepts.

One tip is that you only place two anchor links in the article that way you will go through 99% sites. Most directories limit to two links per article.

So for site ranking as a whole, is the AMR method of backlinking superior as the links are contextual? + For a new domain would it be better to use AMR or Scrapebox for backlinks? I'm guessing a bit of both would be the best tactic for most domains.
