Getting Different Class C Ips

Fellow marketers,

I wanna host my 100 domains at different class c ips.

I have two options.

1. Getting 100 different shared hosting accounts. There are so many $1 per month (even $10 per hosting ) in market. I am going to host one simple wordpress blog per one account. So, I dont think it would be a problem if I go for that kind of hostings. Total monthly cost : Around $100 to $200 per month.

2. Getting SEO hosts. As long I researched it costs around $500 per month for hundred domains. WTF?

$500 per monthly is way too costly. So, I'd like to know someone's opinion who already using (or having knowledge) different class c ips.

I also planned to increase the number of domains in future. So, I'd like to know whether there are any ways that we create more class c ips by ourself?

Suggestions are hugely appreciated.

It's a hard one. I looked at hosting ten websites at different cheap hosts before, and even for such a small number it was a lot of hassle. Obviously with the SEO host, you have the convenience. With 100 different hosts, you have 100 different payments coming out, 100 different FTP logins, 100 different database settings. I can see that being very time consuming.

I guess it all depends how profitable your idea is/will be. Why don't you find a list of reliable hosts, and create ten accounts as a trial, just to see if you can manage it? SEO hosting is overpriced IMO.

Seohosting.com is the way to go for SEO hosting, if you have a real profitable niche.
They are bit costly though.

Also beware they just give you 1 outbound IP and the multiple class C ips you get are just inbound ones.

However for your purpose, I think they are a good fit.

Yes mate. I thought about all the work involved with that too. I think I can manage the work. But the problem is collecting the reliable hosting services.

Is there any way to make our own class c ips in our dedicated server? Like we make own proxies?

IP blocks are assigned to your hosting company or their upstream provider by ARIN and are then allocated to you. You can't "create" them - you have to take what you're given by your host.

No. When people refer to a class C, they're talking about the last octet of your IP address eg

192.168.1.0

through to

192.168.1.255

is one class C.

I don't know about Godaddy hosting, but chances are all your domains would be hosted on the same IP.

It depends on your hosting provider, some hosts allow you to rent more than 1 IP and some don't. Have a read of those links I posted above...

Did you bother to actually read those links? Most virtual hosting providers put large numbers of customers on the same IP, and they also have very limited numbers of class Cs available to them. You're not guaranteed to get different IPs or IPs on different class Cs, even if you buy separate hosting packages from the same provider.

Because it's kind of defeating the point of class C IPs if every single IP in your network is identifiable as belonging to the same outfit... Especially if it's a smaller host known for "SEO hosting" that is probably full of relatively dubious sites.

There have been examples of networks being penalized at the host level in especially egregious cases eg. a few Russian hosts. It's obviously a totally different proposition to using a host like Hostgator that is used by thousands of ordinary people.

I actually don't think nameservers really count for much either, and I see examples of large successful networks that only use a few different nameservers... But it's just something else to think about and an issue that deserves to be raised in a discussion like this. Since no one else mentioned it.

And I stand by my assertion that so called "SEO hosting" sucks ass. It's like painting a huge target on yourself and screaming "I'm an SEO who wants to manipulate the serps." Yes, some people might be successful, but it's an unnecessary risk that can easily be worked around in a more robust manner.

Do you think G would go that much in to name servers? If they do there will be so many false alarms in the famous hosts like gator.

We dont know whether G is considering class c ips surely(at least I). So, spending that much for seo host is not an wise idea if you ask me.

If you found a densely interlinked cluster of spammy looking sites with the same hosting / IP ranges / nameservers / whois info / templates / backlinks / text snippets / affiliate links / whatever, do you think you would factor that into your calculations somehow?

I agree that different class Cs in themselves are pretty pointless since anyone can look up who owns what IP at ARIN. There may be some small benefit from having different class Cs but it's kind of meaningless if both class Cs belong to the same company. Different class Cs that are owned by different companies and are hosted in different geographic locations is the key IMHO. The idea is to make the sites seem completely separate.

Yes, lots of little virtual accounts is what I do, along with lots of little sites that all fly under the radar and the combined trickle of traffic turns into a flood. If you design your sites light, you can push a lot of traffic through a $5-10 virtual account with no worries.

Well. After recent changes, I wouldnt surprised if matt cutts itself is spying every webmasters activity manually.

I've decided to go for different shared hosting accounts. I'm gonna have miserable time finding 100 small reliable hosts with low price.

Have you checked out ixwebhosting.com you can get 15 ips from them and if you add the sites to the hosting account slowly (like 1 an hour) you increase your chances of getting different c class.

IX has several other drawbacks to them though. Check out the threads I posted about them. As far as unique dedicated ips though I have found they can't be beat.
