Kupo's $6000 campaign

If you insist on pushing forward with this content monstrosity...

here is my advice....and my concerns.....

start ONE site first..... work on it 3-4 weeks... then start the 2nd site
work on it 3-4 weeks then start on the 3rd site..... and so on.

this staircasing approach to scaling will save your azz if you make a mistake.

The last thing you want is to SANDBOX/deindexed your lot of 6 sites in one fatal mistake----good bye sites...hello Kupo on BHW crying G Monster deindexed me :(

My concern --- all this to put clickbank banners??? is that your main method of monetizing these sites...??

Good Luck and keep us posted.

Don't start so big - $6000 on articles at once? What if you make a mistake in this plan (very likely) / it's not viable , what happens then?

Maybe start with one or two sites, then if they work, scale it up.

Most of money made involves testing, testing, weeding out the failures. Taking the successes then scaling up. Don't just blow 6k like that.

Wow, Good luck. It seems you know exactly what to do. I'd like to see where this takes you.

How did you find your keywords?

What tools have you used and planning to use and for what reasons?

I've just completed my keyword research of 200 mid to high traffic and low-competition keywords, kupo. I think I can complete the next 400 by Saturday night.

I use Google's Keyword Tool and Wordtracker, kupo. I tried Market Samurai for keyword research for a week but it pretty much draws on all its information from Google anyway so I've dropped MS.

What tools have you used and planning to use and for what reasons?

As far as backlinking tools, nothing except for Notepad++ to keep track of my white hat backlinks. This campaign will be my first experience with blackhat backlinks using Scrapebox and AMR. In the near future, I plan to maybe purchase a blast of 30,000 Xrumer profile links for one of my white hat sites that needs a boost.

Kupo, I've long past completed the staircasing approach. I'm using the success of my past and current profit-generating websites (white hat) to fund this campaign (my first blackhat backlinking campaign). So I have enough capital that's constantly being renewed to back me up. 6000 gil is nothing to Kupo, kupo.

All sites will be on different IPs and I've decided not to include their sitemaps in my Google Webmasters Tools account. So I don't see how it is possible for big G to de-index all my sites at once.

My concern --- all this to put clickbank banners??? is that your main method of monetizing these sites...??

Good Luck and keep us posted.

Kupo, not just to put Clickbank banners -- no. When people click on the banner, they are led to a review on my domain, which makes it a more personalized experience for the web surfer. My review is written in perfect English and grammar by my writer and lays out all the pros and cons of the Clickbank product. A good proportion of my articles will also mention the CB product, which links to my review article.

But affiliate links and redirect links are nowhere to be found anywhere on any of my websites, kupo. Not even the review page. I only include direct links to the homepage of the CB product (www.productname.com). I oreo-fill (ahem, forum rules, kupo) my websites so that each sale registers my commission. This way the reviews are more credible in the eyes of tech-savvy buyers because my affiliate code is nowhere to be seen and I am linking directly to the domain homepage of the CB product.

One of my websites with a scanty 50 unique visitors per day is making 400-500 gil per month doing that, kupo.

The hammerhead orchid is successful because it uses a simple yet very effective method of Wasmannian mimicry:

Kupo, look deep into nature -- and then you will understand everything better.

@ W3althy: I'd like to add that both Google's Keyword Tool and Wordtracker can be erroneous at times, however. Just a little caveat emptor, kupo.

I once spent a few thousand gil building backlinks to a keyword that showed HUGE amounts of traffic and non-existent competition on Google's Keyword Tool, but showed EXTREMELY LOW traffic on Wordtracker. Kupo, when I finally got to rank #1 on the first page, Wordtracker was right and GWT was wrong.

Vice versa, I once spent hundreds of gil building backlinks to a keyword that showed very high amounts of traffic on Wordtracker, but PITIFUL amounts of traffic on GWT. Turned out this time GWT was right and Wordtracker was wrong.

I now use both GWT as well as Wordtracker when researching my keywords, and I always make sure the keyword ranks high on both tools before building backlinks to them.

This is an awesome plan. These are my suggestions:

1. Build Angela and Paul type profile backlinks. They give you real nice link juice and push you up the SERPs real fast.
2. Build some .edu and .gov backlinks. They give your websites trust.
3. Do some layered Xrumer blasts . They help too.
4. Use linklicious.

And also I suggest you get writers who know something about SEO and keyword density . That is more important than having a degree in English and literature from a SEO perspective. Just my thought.

Kupo, you have a solid plan there. You've obviously put a lot of thought and planning in to it, which is great.

However, I think $6000 articles is a LOT. Content certainly is king, but I think 100 articles per site is overkill. How competitive are your niches? Are they micro-niches? You also have the problem that if they are relatively small niches, it may be hard to find a writer to write on 100 different topics per niche!

I think you should save some money and go for just 20 articles per site. Also, newkidd here at BHW does articles for $3 or so per article. I would only pay $10 per article if very high quality articles written by native English are completely necessary.

Other than that, good luck to you.

Am I missing something here?
Why do you say "kupo" in your own posts, kupo?

"but the quality is extremely subpar and clinical in tone -- pedestrian in content, and painfully anemic in performance." ...well said, I think.

Subscribed and will be following your success.

Kupo is a character from the Final Fantasy series (my favourite), that greets everybody as 'kupo'.

lmfao, kupo. Sorry I had to say this but good luck and ill definitely sub :P, kupo

Kupo, you do realize oreo filling is against CB policy don't you? :)

$10 is not too expensive for good quality written content. You get what you pay for and if you want a good quality text that convinces the reader to buy the product you won't get it cheaply. $10 is a bargain for a well written article.

It's funny how people think $10 is a lot of money for an article that takes time to write out but spend several times that on things like Xrumer blasts.

Anyhow good luck with your project, it seems ambitious but you obviously know what you are doing. I would be interested to hear how your techniques on finding so many keywords.

(this MAY take a year though, as this will be my first time using Scrapebox).

Sounds like you have realistic expectations. Good to hear.

Hope you will share your experience with SB when you progress with your plan.

OFF TOPIC:

why do you keep on throwing your name "kupo" all over the place.
Example :
you answered "Kupo, not just to put Clickbank banners -- no."
and
you stated "One of my websites with a scanty 50 unique visitors per day is making 400-500 gil per month doing that, kupo."

What is up with that....? or am I missing something....

Not only like you are talking in third person.....
but it almost feels like you are keyword stuffing the forum....

i hope this isn't one of those threads that is all talk and no action
looking forward to seeing what results you come up with, so please post them here

my opinion:
$6000 is far to much to be spending on articles so early on. start with one website and test this strategy with maybe $1000 worth of articles. if you have a positive ROI within 6 months, spend the other $5000 on articles for that site.

Why spread it across multiple sites? Rather make one killer site

KUPO you said
"Kupo, I've long past completed the staircasing approach. I'm using the success of my past and current profit-generating websites (white hat) to fund this campaign (my first blackhat backlinking campaign). So I have enough capital that's constantly being renewed to back me up. 6000 gil is nothing to Kupo, kupo."

but on your Original post you stated that

"Kupo, I'm starting a new campaign of 6 new websites. Each website is a 3-keyword EMD (exact match domain) or near-EMD (with hyphens or with an extra word). I've been doing a lot of reading and feel that I have read enough to finally take action. Here's my strategy, kupo:"

YOU ARE CONTRADICTING YOURSELF.....

AND
you stated

All sites will be on different IPs and I've decided not to include their sitemaps in my Google Webmasters Tools account. So I don't see how it is possible for big G to de-index all my sites at once.

GOOGLE does not need to see them on the same ip to de index them all... since you are doing basically the SAME to each one. That is why i recommended the staircase approach.

Virus, i agree with you on this one. Staircase is far more prudent. Blowing 6k in one go is just stupid, "kupo".
