CPA dating leads question

Hi guys,

Just got into a couple of CPA networks (thanks to Virus1) and I'm looking at promoting some dating CPA offers.

I currently do this with loadedcash and I think they're great.

I'm just wondering what pays better. I know with EVERY dating site you promote they all say something like -
"$1.50 for every free sign up you send us"

Now when you look at the small print it says "1:40 out of every free sign up must become a paying member or you won't be paid." This is normal.

It's just I've seen in the CPA networks very similar offers for DOUBLE the payout, and they don't have those "terms and conditions" 1:40 must become a paying member.

I'm just wondering is this to not too good to be true?? wheres the catch? Will the CPA network turn around in 2 weeks and email me "sorry but your traffic didn't convert well for (insert company name) and you won't be getting paid"

Can anyone shine some light on this??

I wasn't able to make any money with them. Got a lot of free signups and only one full paid one, so the ratio of 40:1 never met the $100 payment threshold. Then eventually all the free signups got wiped clean. Also, I don't believe the free signups that eventually convert to paid ones are credited to you either.

Seemed like a scam, but maybe others have better luck?

Well I've got some quality traffic so I reckon I can still make money at it, but I'd like to know if there ratios of free to paid is 1:20 or 1:40 who knows? I was wondering should I contact my aff manager with the network, or the dating site owner, because they don't have these terms conditions there to clearly see..

You're pretty smart so you *almost* answered your own question there.

I've been in the trenches of the dating vertical so here's what's up.

1) Believe it or not dating companies are in biz to make money and not lose their ass on paying for free leads that don't convert into paid.

2) Due to #1 they monitor their freeaid like a motherfucking hawk.

3) Your traffic has to make money for the dating company. Fucking HAS TO.

4) If it doesn't then one of these things will happen: a) you will be kicked off the offer at the CPA network that pays for free leads b) you will be switched to PPS or Revshare if you're working direct with internal program c) your free lead payout will be lowered to the point where they can turn an ROI. All outcomes are shitty and C is atually the best and you have to send a shitload of traffic for them to even bother with C.

5) You can jump from offer to offer from network to network and send a trickle of leads each time but you will get cut off very quickly each time because refer to #2. If your traffic is shit - meaning it doesn't pay - that's your real problem and you won't run away from it. Get another traffic source.

6) Finding a traffic source that will backout for dating is a pain in the ass.

7) If you don't want headaches that come with free leads then go with PPS or Revshare. But then guess again you will only be paid what your traffic is worth. There's no fucking magic

I knew myself their offers were to good to be true. I'm not going to bother sending someone thousands of visitors and work up loads of sign ups and then they don't payout.

To be honest looking at ALL those CPA dating offers, I noticed their landing pages are rubbish. If they can't spend money on the most important part of the site - the sign up page! Then I don't want to work with them.

They're not "too good to be true". If your traffic is quality - you will be paid those rates and won't be kicked off the offers. Sorry for not making this more clear. If you don't send fraud but your quality (free : paid) is simply low - you will get paid in 99% of cases. They will simply kick you off the offer - won't allow you to send any more traffic to their pay-per-free-lead offer. It's only logical. Would you want to keep working with someone who's losing you money?

Thanks dingdong for the information. Im thinking about doing dating myself within cpa networks but I do agree they will watch free to paid leads like a hawk so you gotta vary it up between offers.

I did some testing awhile back and I learned that email marketing (in the millions) seem to convert better than trying to wing it in the general spectrum. Also PPC converts pretty well. If you get offers for alternative dating sites.

Almost all CPAs want to convert the PPF traffic at least 1:50, to cover all spends and risks. If you have good traffic, it WILL convert > 2% of all signups. Just clean up the .IN .CN etc visitors

So HookUP.com is doing a $4 Per Free, BHW special. It's what we pay the Affiliate Networks, and so we are treating BHW like a network.

Yes, we are all in this to make money. But we have the data to show that if it's real traffic, and from US, Canada, UK or Australia, we'll back it out. If it's only performing at 1:60, we know that it isn't real traffic and that it's a team of data entry people creating fake profiles.

Listen to the Hookup dude. Signed up with hookup about a month ago. Seems good so far. Haven't really sent them much traffic yet though. They've got tons of tools and you can chose between different landing pages which is always good. And they've got lots of members pretty much everywhere so that always helps when someone does a local search. When they do a local search and don't find many prospects, they usually don't sign up. But hookup seems to have that covered.

well, guys beleive me, getting sales is too Tough now.
well, nothing beats adwords traffic. I have set up Friendfinder offers via ADwords, Totally search traffic, Laser target people that area searaching to date and make friends etc.
Beleive me, Not a single conversion . Thousands of free signups, but they didnt pay..
So now what could be the option.

It really depends on offer itself, some of them just never convert!
However, if you're driving quality targeted traffic to dating offers like RealMatureSingles, SeniorPeopleMeet, BlackPeopleMeet, True, Richmen etc, there's no sense your leads won't convert to sales for advertisers, at least 3% - 5%
