[Updated]Goog has become much more strict with this!

I have seen many sites using the Search Term Tagging plugin, and those sites have over 100,000 pages indexed which are simply search pages, but those domains are older than 6-7 months, G has become much more strict about the rate of pages being indexed from a new domain, and if the rate is too spammy , the whole site gets deindexed,

Ive used these types of plugins before but now new domains are simply getting deindexed, and 2 of my old domains got a rank penalty... I dont seem to understand how some of the other sites are using it, can the shared IP be a reason??

Theres an option in the plugin to turn off the creation of the search pages. I have been keeping it set to off lately and the plugin seems to be just as effective as having it on.

I know u can keep it off, but keeping it on used 2 get truckloads of traffic ... but now my sites have been getting deindexed if I do that, and at the same time, I see some few months - a year old sites using it with sheer success, they must be bagging 100 bux a day m sure, cz ive seen those days

I have a totally whitehat site that has been deindexed and have been trying to fathom out why ever since.

Coincidently, I was using the search tagging plugin when the site got deindexed but have long since deactivated and deleted it. Still not indexed though.

The only plugin I can think that G might not like, that I am using on that site is link daemon. Thinking of getting rid of that also to see if there is any change.

I also had to edit/change the theme. I downloaded one from here which had hidden links back to "themes.weboy.org" or "free premium wordpress themes" in the footer and comments section. Wasn't sure if this would be classed as a malicious link.

It's really p***ing me off as this site has quality content and the No.1 rank is crap!!

Also, I have an autoblog which has approx 5000 pages of regurgitated crap indexed and yet this unique site is deindexed.

Its a f'kin PR 7 and has alexa rank of 2200+ ... has no unique content, just acts like another Traffic Equalizer site but with a modern look and feel

Using search terms tagging doesn't mean autoblog man. On my blogs, the search result display posts from that blog only. Nothing to do with auto blog

it is an autoblog, AB doesnt only mean using WPRobot, even in this case a whole new page is created automatically for G to index, if one incoming keyword is how to dance, the other can be how to dance well ... two different pages created automatically having same content...and if ur blog gets decent traffic the indexing rate can shoot up like anything, i launched a new blog 2 days back, 2day 74 pages were indexed and by afternoon blog got deindexed

I'm more than happy to compete with other marketers to get ranked, that's the name of the game! but Google has just gone barmy recently.

Whatever these Farmer/Panda updates hoped to achieve,they haven't!

SERIOUS FAIL IN MY OPINION GOOGLE!!

I'll carry on spurting out my autoblogs as you seem to like those tons better than unique content!!!!!!

Regarding xmarks, what you have to understand is that it's a service and a damn good one by the way. It gets that sort of authority because sites like (maybe not the best example, but I read it frequently and it came first to mind) lifehacker frequently link to it.

It has 300k users on Chrome alone, can't imagine how many more there are on Firefox. The service is oriented to users that are a bit more advanced, it syncs bookmarks across different Computers, phones, browsers and so on. If you pay attention you can see the service constantly on tech blogs. Basically what I'm trying to say is that it isn't simply a site, it's a service and that's why it has authority.

I know this isn't my thread, so not the original question, but my point is that G isn't zapping my autoblogs,they are all indexed and doing just fine.

It's 2 of my original, unique content sites that have been deindexed and, for the life of me, I can't work out why.

That's why this thread caught my eye as I was using the search tagging plugin at the time.

totally agree with you, but its pages are totally against the TOS of G and should never have been indexed in the first place, the service might be useful, but when it comes to G's algo and TOS, this site does not follow it...

Its pages that are indexed, are nothing but bunch of outbound links, secondly few years back G made it very clear that it does not want directory like pages or search pages anymore..

ul b taking a risk if you continue using it, but still the results varies for different people, thats the biggest problem imo

I used Search Term Tagging plugin too, and deindexed too..even though my max number of search terms is set to 5. I will be careful now with the rate of my pages being indexed especially on new domain.

What are your settings for the plugin?I think you can set it to delete the unused searches after 10 days. From what I gather the results get indexed as well?I'm getting good traffic and would be disappointed to have to remove it. My domain is 2 months by the way
