I think this is a very important questions for your clients, because if you can't write algorithm of ReCaptcha recognition by your self, you deceive your clients. If they know this, they would not expect so much from you and would not consider you outstanding programmers.

Lol! Why should anyone reinvent the weel? If there already is an algorithm for recaptcha solving why should these guys develop one by themselves? It's also extremely hard to develop a working (even partially) captcha solving algorithm from scratch. It requires huge amount of research and work and the developers should also be very familiar with high speed image processing, neural networks, OCR etc.

I personally know of many outstanding programmers but they wouldn't be able to develop capthca solver by themselves because they are not specialized in those fields it requires knowledge from. Even a simple OCR software is very complex to develop...

What about sorting algorithms then? If someone uses fast sort or bubble sort in their application you would tell them to create their own algorithms? because they are not outstanding programmers if they use proven-to-work algorithms in their software... lol Or if someone makes a video editing software and they would use h.264 compressing for HD video. Would it be wrong or cheating? Deceiving clients? Hell no!

I would also point out one more thing. If these guys had an algorithm or an article which they used as a resource when developing the captcha function it doesn't make them any less outstanding as programmers. Having an algorithm doesn't mean that you can super easily translate it to working and efficient code. Please learn some programming and do your research before posting stuff like this No offence!

Thanks for this info and I think a lot potential customers like to know this. I should think while reading this that most captchas can be broken but how is it then posible that most captchas for for example phpBB and vBulletin are not working. Does most vBulletin sites use only vb6 ?

no, its just because that current vbul database is not that trained yet. Just wait some more time, we are doing things on background. We dont post much about current things being update/done, we will just post them once theyre done. Also, it could be because you are setting to low max tries or captcha max tries. You can enable comprehensive logs and look at them after running to see what errors happened.

ok, then we will wait on updates for the vBulletin and phpBB database but I thought that one of you earlier mentioned that it was because the capcthas and that they were succesfull using a captcha service.


Settings are ok and it tries it 10 times for capctha max tries and about 5 for the other. I will look for comprehensive logs.

I don't know that but then Im sure it did it as max as possible and if it comes on the site then we know that the problem is the captcha breaker.

no, you will know when its because of the captcha, if it give an error "Captcha max tries Reached".
