Help in Getting some traffic

Ok i recently created a blog at wordpress and i was just thinking to get some nice traffic. my site wont appear in google as i have set up a free domain.
Plz help me or give some nice tutorial in getting some nice traffic.
I have tried backlinking and other tools for increasing my page rank but in vain.

Purchase a domain name, get some hosting and set up a real website...Invest a little, get a little...
