scrapebox proxies. what are you using and how many!

Hello guys and gals, I have not used scrapebox in a long time and I now have a site or 2 that I need to improve its rankings. So just wondering what proxy source are other users using, what your success rate with them is, how many is reccomended per site, just any info your willing to share about your set up would be greatly appreciated.

i prefer public proxies. I can harvest 200-500 and they will work faster than 10 private (I have 15 that I don't use in SB)

Most people will recommend at least using 10 private proxies/month for posting comments. However, if you're running custom operators through Google harvesting or just burn through a massive amount, you may need more. I currently use 10, but I would like to get more when I have the money as this isn't really enough for my usage level.

I use 25 private proxies from squid proxies. Been really good the last couple of months I've been using them. And when I signed up, they had a discount for bhw members. Just search the threads to see if they still have that coupon. If you're just using them for scrapebox, then 10 should be enough.

How do you find GOOD public proxies that will work with Scrapebox?

Every time I try to find some on Google - the list that I find is no good. Now, when I try to use the ones from Scrapebox I only get 25 to 50 -+ good ones max.

There's a proxy forum on here where people give away proxies to check. you can add those to your list to check everyday, and some will be good.

There are also forums like http://www.proxyfire.net/forum like list proxies daily. At the bottom of some of the lists there are links to proxy blogs, like

you can add those to SB to search automatically with the 7 proxy sources it has already. Once you collect a few of those kinds of sites, you will have several thousand proxies to check everyday.

also, if you load proxies from a lot of sources, do a "remove duplicates" before you start testing them because a bunch will be copies and it wastes time to check them multiple times.

The downside is that it takes a bit of time, but you can start it up while you take a shower in the morning or something and its no big deal. But I usually get 200-500 to work with throughout the day from this.

Also, I think SB is more strict than it needs to be. There are other proxy checkers like charon proxy checker that will probably give you more positive results. then just paste those into SB and assume they are good.

I, too, am starting out and likely going to go pretty small at first because it's my conservative blood that I hate and I'm terrified of getting my stuff banned.

I have a few additional questions with this:

- What's the difference between free and private proxies?

- With SB, I can put a list of proxies in it, and it'll cycle through and completely protect my IP?

- Obviously with SB blasts even with proxies, I plan on blasting satellite "buffer" pages, but does the big G eventually pick up on that and figure out it's eventually boosting my money site?

I have private proxies (about 15) and I don't use them. I just use the ones from the sources I mentioned, which are all free.

Free are public, which means you, me, and your grandmother have access to them. They don't tend to be around for long, so you need to get new ones every day.

Private means only you have access to them. But you have to pay or them. You usually pay for them for a month, and so they last for 30 days, then you get new ones (usually)

Your IP is protected with either kind of proxy, but you are still using bandwidth. SB can be a bandwidth hog, and you might hit your ISP's usage cap. I recently switched from comcast to comcast business class because it removes the 250bg/month limit that all residential customers have. and its the same cost! ($59/month)

every kind of link is spam in a way (at least from marketers), and big G knows about all of them. just diversify your links and you can still use SB on your main site. if it was that easy to get sandboxed, more people would be targeting them competition with SB blasts.

I can post 10 times as fast with 20 times as many proxies. Even if my success rate is half as much (and it's not....I bet it's not worse than 20% less successful) I'm still building links 5 times as fast as you.
