My Competition BackLinks + Keyword Analysis

I need to know this as i am about to start my next project, i have found a decent keyword but there is some problem.

1. The Exact Keyword Name Domain has already been Taken which is (.com) and is ranking at No.1
2. The Keyword has the name of the company
3. The good thing is i checked he has only 6 Backlinks to his site

So shall i buy .net or .org and create more backlinks and more content ? or i shall try another keyword?

With few high quality backlinks and good seo you can with the no.1 easy

Depends. If the nr 1 spot is the company then I would not do it. If it isn't then I'd go for it, because they haven't sued the nr 1 spot. The rest depends on searches a month ofcourse. Don't go under 3K a month

well the site ranking at top is not the company but that domain includes the name of a company which is really a Big company so i was just thinking of if they will come after my domain but this person who is already ranking is still there so that gives me bit of hope.
