Hey,

I have a facebook page thats grown pretty well and it's at 172k members now and still growing.

I've been inboxed on FB by someone looking to buy it and I was unsure of the value of it, and how to go about a deal of that nature.

Any help would be appreaciated!

Depends on a lot of factors, including, but not limited to:
-Niche
-Age
-Is it spammed or not
-Activity of it's members
etc.

If it's fun niche (they are worth less) and not spammed a lot, with active members and publishing rights, I'd say it's worth 1k.

If it's niche targeted, then it could be worth a lot more, everything depends on niche...

I could post the URL up, or is that against the rules?

It's a drinking game group, and its about 6 months old. It isn't spammed. The members are fairly active, theres a new post on the wall every couple of minutes during the day.

Anyone else got any Ideas on what type of valuation it would be?

All you need to care about is the potential value.
Look for affiliate links and update your members to see the impact
anyway 172K - nice work !

It's risen to 181k since I last posted.

Is this a fast, and as a result valuable, level of growth?

Making a comparison to my own experience on selling groups in another social network, it could cost about $1k, I suppose.

9k Growth is very good but I think you know that already. Facebook fan pages depend on a lot of various factors. The kind of page that it is, the demographic, the post feedback, tools you used to get it to that many likes, how many posts and the kinds of posts that you have used on the page. No one wants a page that has been basically pushed into the ground and could possibly be taken away the day after they buy it.

Have you profited off of this page? Figure out how much you have made from this page and the projected growth for that page. Depending on a few other factors you could get a pretty penny for it.
