Having fun with hotlinkers

So I've got a shitty little online education site that I'm going to start spending some more time on and decided to check the awstats on today. I found a couple site linking to it and clicked through them to see if someone was referrer spamming or whatever. Turns out a couple were just hotlinking to an image I had on my site, whatever, no big deal. Figured I'd have some fun with them so I jumped in photoshop and whipped up a little image, changed my image to image1 and put this one in it's place. You can check out the site that was hotlinking to me below. I wonder how long before they, if they ever, pick up on it.

People are constantly hotlinking to my hosted images that I use on eBay. I usually change the photo to the gnarlyest beastiallity image I can find.

I thought about that but, work computer plus beastiality photos equals potential pink slip.

or you can turn on the hot link protection via C-Panel.

Or you can replace the hotlinked image with a banner advertising your site.

Might even draw some people in instead of scaring or disgusting them on that blog.
