Is it possible to make decent cash ADSENSE

Been messing around with adsense for a while now and make very little, dollar or 2 per day get fair amount of hits 8k - 14k.

Is it possible to make good money.

Sure it is. Consider doing any/all of the following:

- Try higher paying keywords

- Optimize your ad placement

- Optimize ad integration, looks, size, etc

- Check the engagement of readers with your content.
I don't suggest making crappy pages but, if readers find
all they need within your content and ads are not very well
placed, they will have little incentive to click on them.

- Check your traffic sources. Are visitors targeted enough ?

- Check for other "distractions" within your site ( too crowded
with other offers, crappy design, etc )

- Make more sites/send more traffic

Depending on the choice of keywords, $30/$60/month might not be that bad.

In any case, I've personally chosen to go the CPA route ( they've
proven to be more profitable for me in most cases), but there are many people still making a lot of money with this.

Quality > quantity for adsense IMO. You should be able to get around $5-$10 per 1M impressions. If you get lower, then your traffic may be poor or the ad inventory on your keywords sucks, if it's the later then CPA may work better for you.

On a standard, shitty paying niche I usually make between 10$-15$ per 1000, but on a high paying KW it can be between 30$-100$. I have the CB product highest paying Kw's somewhere if you want it, it's old and the Kw's are wayy behind but it could still give you an idea.

In comparison, surely promoting CB is more lucrative than Adsense? I stopped doing Adsense because the returns were poor - but that could just have been my inexperience at getting vsitors. OTOH I make a reasonable amount from some CB promotion sites, for which I do nothing...

Also true. I have had good success with CB especially when a campaign has been set-up properly. However I also like to have automated sites that bring in a little adsense rev now and again. And of course CB & Adsense don't mix too well, when I was a newbie i'm sure I got a few 0.04c clicks from a CB promotion page, and lost a sale or two

I have found that 'Relevant Junk' works best with adsense.

Revelant Junk= Talking about the subject matter, but in such away that the user did not realy get what they wanted, but the ad's remain relevent to the expected content.

I currently have a CTR of between 25 - 50% on one of my sites, with all traffic from SE's being highly targeted.

Ad placement is also very key. I was originally only getting a 4 - 6% CRT until I changed the placement and then it shot up.

What works for me is to have an add at the top of the article and a second after the first paragraph. After reading the first paragraph, they realise that they are not going to get what they want from the site and as I result I get the highest CRT on the second block of Ad's.

I did try removing the top add to increase the CPC on the second block, however I noticed that in general (over 2 months) my CTR dropped.

Now that site earns around $300+ a month, so several of those and it is a nice little income from a 10 article WP site! (thats with 50 - 100 vistors aday)

I have now duplicated the work across the neiche by creating another 6 sites in the same format, so within the next 4 months I will know if this has been a complete success or not.
