I guess I would ask why do you want to boost your alexa rating. There is a tool out there that can fake your traffic to increase it for advertising credibility or if you just want true better ratings than you need more traffic

Use something like HitSpanker, you should get in the top 100,000 easily in a few months.

Yep that software will do the job. To in the 100000 just line invincable says. If you want more hype than that you are going to have to have some good content.... and some good seo...

I know the alexa protocol and i have seen no public tool that correctly handles them.
Just as my words of caution.
I don't know about alexas policies on faking but it's almost sure that the available tools will create hits that can easily be verified as faked by alexa staff or internal routines.

make sure you have a script on your page that will mimic alexa toolbar.. so everytime ppl come to your site.. this script will then acknowledge alexa's site.. then you can buy cheap traffic to your site to boost your alexa ranking.. (make sure this 'fake visitor' view your page so your alexa script will be executed)

That's normal, the URL it calls leads to a 404...
don't even install it, it's useless and the script could be much improved...

Alexa's toolbar is evil.

I still believe in solid organic search engine traffic with whitehat methods. A lot of blackhats forget the value of organic traffic when playing with other methods.

10,000 uniques a day for most sites will pay the rent for a lot of folks.

alexa is a magnet to hits, sites the have loads of hits alexa will find them, i had a hidden blog and alexa decided to turn up cause it had 7k hits in 12hrs.. so its 1 + 1 = 2 init.
