I am excited because a few days ago I wrote a thread here asking anyone who makes at least 50 bucks from writing. I was happy yesterday to achieve double target within just a day. I am optimistic such days will be repeated in the future more often or on daily basis.
Writing content is a good way to make the best money online more so if you are writing 100% pure content.

it's a good way to get some seed money for advertising or outsourcing. That is how I started out but it gets old real quick use that money to start automating as much cash flow as possible until someone else is writing for you!

I use to write articles (well dragon speaking) but i was not good at it and it got to me after awhile. Felt like I was going in circles. Keep it up, sounds like a good gig...use that money to fund your other projects and then hire people to write for you.

Hi All,
I would like to reply to most of the people concern on how to go about making $ 100 per day with articles only.
Though this is my business strategy I am not mean at sharing ideas since I also learn a lot from fellow members here.
The rational behind my success is simple :
1) Target Niche + High End Clients + 100% Quality Articles = Handsome pay
Example
Plastic Surgery Niche + Plastic Surgery Site Owners+ Quality Promotional yet informative Article that will add value to the website.

2) Ask yourself are you a 1 dollar writer or 10 dollar writer? If you view your services as inferior they will certainly be! Make sure you charge the right amount of money that will make you get the daily target.
But do not compromise on quality.

3) What do you prefer to write ten articles that are 10 dollar each or 20 five dollar each? If you produce quality articles you will not have a problem convincing the clients that they are worth 10 dollars each.

4 ) Use SEO tactics to make them more relevant to the spiders

5) Don't write articles that are so long and if you do make sure you always compensate in terms of pricing. Let say you set a price of $1/100 words it means that you will get 7 bucks if the article is 700 words Do not compromise on pricing if you are providing the top quality.

So many people are willing to pay fortune to get quality articles that will bring more visitor to their sites. You understand this and you will not just be writing to fill the wordage but you will find more value helping the client get good business and you will have a fat cheque from them. It is the policy of scratch my back I scratch yours!

Now I have a client who really likes my articles and wants a long term 3 article per day agreement, but the problem is I am already bored with this, probably because I am selling myself too cheap.

I am doing 3 x 450 word hand written quality keyword targetted articles for $5. I should probably be charging double or three times that as it is taking approx. 30 minutes per article, so that means I'm working for less than $5 an hour.

I mean it's great having your services in demand, but the ROI seems a bit low....?

What country do you live in? Is English your first language? Price is relative to these factors and more importantly the quality of the work.

I wouldn't write an article for that much. I am a really strong writer, and I know my services are worth more. It sounds like you my be undervaluing your skills. It depends on the quality of the content though.

Yes I am in the UK. Article writing comes easy to me, but it still takes time to write a quality article. $5 for 90 minutes work isn't attractive to me so although it's good to have a client wishing to retain my article writing services long term, I think I will have to let this particular deal go as the ROI is not sufficient.

Yeah that's way too low man. If you wanna secure a client by writing one or two articles for him at that price that is one thing, but to have your rate at that price isn't good. You can also get a portfolio of you writing together and then you can show you are worth your rate before hand. If I were you I wouldn't do anything under $1/100 words. Assuming the quality is on par w/ that rate. And I wouldn't put more than 30 min in that $5 article. I'm sure you can cut that 90 min down to 30, thus giving you $10 an hour.
