How long does a cloaked website stay up?

Killing all the content on your page will kill your rankings eventually.
I think what OP means is that the site with optimized content for the search engines redirects to the Clickbank salespage.
Bots will see the content. Human visitors click the link in the SERPS and are redirected instantly.
You could do that but not all merchants like/approve it.
Since I don't know which ones will cause trouble I don't use direct linking.

I use Fantomaster to create my optimized domains.
These domains show up in the SERPS.

The optimized domains redirect to a whitehat site with CPA Redirector installed.
The traffic is "pushed" through the WH site and lands on the CB product salespage.
Clickbank and the CB merchant will see the WH site as the referrer in their stats.

Pretty interesting... I've never done actual cloaking, but have read up a lot on it.

I have a question I hope you could answer...most of the posts I've seen about fantomaster are from a while ago, not to current. So is it still working well? I've heard some great things about it, seems like the xrumer of cloaking.

It's working great for me and yes, it's the industry standard when it comes to cloaking.

The original script has been updated a few times over the last year.
One added feature I appreciate the most is the use of templates. Before that the sites were just plain text and links. Not a problem because no human would see them.

This changed with the Google preview function in the SERPS. Possible traffic can see the layout of your before they click.

I know of one group that has created 2400+ cloaked sites (unique domains all redirect to one affiliate ID) with a total of over 68,000 pages (all loaded with scraped content) promoting a single adult product - although the URL's are all .ca and not adult in nature (almost like they are hijacked)

Bots see the scraped content, user on SE's see a "sorry this page is down, where you looking for ???" and then redirect to the page where the adult product can be bought.

This was 2 years ago and they are still going strong and Google, Bing and Yahoo do nothing even after several affiliates filed complaints - they are taking a shitload of our sales

Going by this group, I sometimes wonder if Google gives a shit about Cloaked/scraped content.

In my opinion - if you keep a VERY CURRENT list of SE Bots for the correct redirects you could go for many years

May be you don't know what you're doing. I've been cloaking for five years on my main domain with SEC ( I make my own templates) and never have problem with G00gle. They actually love my cloaked pages like hell.

The site can last anywhere from a few seconds to a few days depending on how quick they catch up to your activities.

In my experience from ways back; 4 years or so ago, doorways did not last more than 30 days for serious traffic niches like gambling and medical supplements. They usually lose 30% traffic within 2 days and begin to decrease another 50% by another few days and most traffic is gone within 10 days. Smaller niches have lasted over 2 months though.

There are way too many factors that come into play. A good cloaking script with a regularly updated bot/ip/search engine base like fantomaster or wpshapeshifter can stay in google for years. I have sites that have been up for 3 years since i started. but even without a good ip/bot list with good generated content, it could still last years. I have doorway pages that are still up.

Have you used wpshapeshifter or just fantomaster? Does wpshapeshifter really work as they claim?

Shadowmaker 4 is a serious kick ass Cloaker. SEC is long dead in the water and there are no other serious Cloakers that come anywhere near Fantomas Shadowmaker. Xrumer is $570+? Shadowmaker is $2950 and for a very good reason. Its an ingenious program developed by a genius. Shadowmaker brings in tremendous results for its users.

How long your cloak lasts really depends on many factors. It's useful to know though that Google doesn't ban your site automatically because what appears on it isn't exactly the same as what the bot sees. Many websites use the geo-IP to redirect visitors to the relevant pages.
