I'm new here, and to SEO in general, and I've been spending some time reading through various threads on this forum - and picking up some real gems...

I just thought of something, and wanted to ask all you experts, on whether it would work...

It may be be an old idea, not sure, anyway :

> I put in a keyword in the SE
> A particular site "ZZ" gets listed in the 10th page of the SERPS
> I click on "ZZ", spend some time there
> This is repeated by various people i.e for the same keyword, they navigate, to the "ZZ" page, through the SERP link

Will this help in bringing "ZZ" closer to the first page results?

Let me know your thoughts, and any explanations on how SE work.

Thank you.

In short, the answer to your question is no. PR is contingent upon many factors. Keywords usage, site quality, age of site, content, links (front and back), etc. Traffic itself cannot single handedly improve rank.

delmages, thank you for clearing that up...
