What you can do, is just buy those domains and use them for a year different purposes maybe emails, and if its worth keeping it that do it if not drop.

I checked, but they don't mention is it possible to transfer from Yahoo to other domain register and if it would cost something.

Because 35$/year after that is too much

Me too, but I can unsubscribe when I want. Just buy a domain, work upon it and if its worth keeping, than keep it. Usually, you can have these types of domains for linking strategies, experiments...
