Can't Create A Youtube Account

Is anyone else having this problem?

I want to create a youtube account, then it mandatory asks you to link to google, then when you try and create a new google account and submit it, the page says "invalid page request", then you go back to youtube and try to login or create an account and it doesn't work.

Youtube keeps going downhill and it's pretty ridiculous that I can't even create an account with them!

Anyone having issues as well?

Can't create a gmail (Google) account without surrendering your phone number, nor can you create a YouTube account without first creating a Google account which, again, requires surrendering your phone number.

Unfortunately Google has the art of privacy invasion down to a science.

Look,open an account with Yahoo,then when you creat an account with gmail on the page where you can link [I think that's the term] it to another mail ,guess what? put the yahoo mail.Then go to yahoo and verify it.Go to youtube and sign up with yahoo- that should work since your yahoo is identified as a human mail and not spam. good luck.

You can't create a YouTube account without a Google account. You might try using a private proxy to register an account. Usually you only have to supply a phone number if you register too many accounts on the same IP address.

Won't work. He'll still have to verify his account via SMS when he registers. All that does is make your Google account username the name of your yahoo e-mail address.

That's pretty ridiculous how you can't even create a simple gmail anymore without giving out your number to google, and it's just dumb on youtube's part to not allow any other emailing service but google, since google bought them.

It's not going to make their visitors happy at all.

i just did try create youtube (im using hotmail this time) and everything went smooth...
so im not sure why this error happens to you, maybe its your ip address or something

I think it has been mentioned here before, but I'll explain what I do. If you have an iPhone, there is an app called TextFree. This app lets you select a phone number from them, (free of course) and use it for like 30 days or whenever you want a new one. Well, you use this number to receive SMS. So just type that number in when you need to do SMS verification and you will get the text to the app number. You can get a new number like everyday from the app and never really ever use your actual number.

Yeah, youtube is going down hill. But you already know it's because of the unethical and immoral google! But don't worry they'll be washed away when the SHORES come in like enron!

Any company that doesn't allow you to easily create accounts to spam them is EVIL and IMMORAL! Let god wash them away! blah blah blah blah blah *more religious woffle* blah blah THE SHORES OF THE BLESSED!! *blah blah blah*

Just to clarify, creating YT accounts without verification IS still very possible. It's even possible to do that from the same IP over and over and over again if you know what to do. Should you be aware of a method (and there's probably more than one...) to do that it still would NOT be a good plan in the mid/long-term because YT will likely ban all of the accounts created from that single IP as soon as one of your videos gets reported.

But the bottom line here is that it's totally feasible to create literally hundreds of accounts even from the same IP at the time I'm writing this.

Mate... try to clear your cookies, all your private data , your ip and maybe the browser. I'm not having such problems but I can tell you that creating yt accounts differs from firefox to opera to IE Some time they ask you for phone verification if you are in opera but if you try in firefox with the same ip it will be ok , so... Mr.Google is keeping track of the user agent.

You create your gmail account first before registering your youtube account because the two really links, and it is really needed to have your phone number before you can proceed on registering the gmail account.Then you check if your username is unique.
