Will some of you with experience share some of your experiences
of walking into a say a restaurant doctors office or a pet store etc. to offer websites or a website make over and or SEO services?

Please share all the juicy details as possible:
How you started the conversation, what the waitress said, how many times you had to come back for the owner to be there, how the owner reacted and how you may have gotten politely or rudely thrown out, and how you sealed the deal and got paid etc etc.

Also would like to hear stories of phone calls to Landscapers plumbers
or any others that do not have an actual brick and mortar place of business
yet are great candidates for the services mentioned.

I could use all the help I could get.

I'll click thanks for all TRUE stories of success and failure. The TRUE part will have to be on your part so if your gonna tell a white lie do it with at least a black hat on.:D

I found restaurants to be time wasting. I offered my service to help out my local Chinese restaurant, and refused to pay even $50 per month. All I got was $10 per month for domain...

Just met with a marketing company that moved into building where I work, and we are striking up deals as I write this.

Look only for high ROI businesses such as Doctors, Dentists, ect..maybe plumbers, locksmiths, landscapers, roofers, etc.

Find leads using this software:

I tried this last night, and got many new business leads in just minutes (it gives business name, contact name, contact phone #, website URL, email address)

Most businesses did not have a website!!

**TIP**
Search Craigslist services section - Look for people advertising their service (like personal trainers) and offer them a mini website or even a mobile website, or a better service ad with video.

Look for any local company that uses PPC, newspapers, radio, etc . WHY? because they already spend money to get money, so any services you may offer can only help their business.

Hey Terry56
that insider pro advice is really helpful.I also am seeing the need for mobile friendly sites.Your tip to check out ppc and Craigslist for people already paying is probably the best advice I think for anyone wanting to offer services like this.Going to check out this link for the leads too. Thanks so much.
Have you or anyone had any experience where walking into a doctors office? I mean I think those are great candidates but honestly I am worried about soliciting laws if any exist and worried about getting kicked out or even worse more discouraged by rejection.
Any advice on the best ways to talk to Dentists Chiropractors Pediatricians etc? Call or walk in?
Thanks a lot for your input your tips and help:)
