Have you run any tests on the effectiveness of these links? My concern is that it's not much different than article directories with PR that display your article on the homepage until it gets bumped off and then you're back to a PR N/A.

BlogPosts have been sold for ages now, it isnt a new thing and people wouldnt be selling it if it were not effective.
Current rate for a blogpost on a PR 5 domain varies from $10 to $15, people wouldnt be paying $10 to $15 for a link if it were equal to article links.
The amount of link juice you get is immense.
