This might not be posted in the right section... And I apologize if it isn't. Hell... You might not even think it's related to BlackHat but it's definitely being used for BlackHat purposes.
Anyhow...
Here goes... I am using analog phone lines right now to connect to dialup modem. I signed up for AT&T Unlimited Long Distance. Well come to find out it doesn't "cover" modem calls. So they slapped me with a huge bill and are telling me I have to pay it because the Long Distance plan DID NOT cover modem call - Guess that is a fine print thing. Sucks!
Anyhow... Does anybody know if I can use Cox Digital Telephone, Vonage, or Magic Jack to place long distance calls with an analog modem? Will these VoIP or Digital services allow me to dial and connect with a traditional analog modem? Will it work?
Basically.... Will the Digital Telephone Service and/or VoIP carry the analog signal across the line? I know since it coverts it to digital there might be issues. Is anyone doing this?
