I've spoken to a lot of people and seen a lot of discussion about this issue. Seemed to occur sometime around 6-9PM PST on Mar 31, 2011. Almost every PVA being used to create an app will be treated as if it's not a PVA, and as such FB will request that you confirm the account with mobile or CC.

Has anyone done some testing? I know one person who has found that aged PVAs still work, while some have found that not to be the case. So results are mixed at this point.

Do you guys feel this is a temporary bug? It might be something targeting the methods PVA providers are using, or even the numbers they are using (i.e. from a specific country, or service).

Its due to that some providers make crappy PVAs, ie they are not using proxies but their own country IP and then phone verify them. + or i guess they make dozens of pvas on a single proxy, so they can maintain low prices.
Other guess would be that if you buy accounts with filled info, it is repeated in a lot of accounts, like they were twins...i got these type from a lot of providers.

Old pvas, and those that i make myself with sims/proxies works fine.

Yeah, those are definitely some good points.

We can narrow it down to these possible issues then:

1.) Abusing IPs/proxies
2.) Using foreign phone number for U.S. account (might be exclusive to Philippines and India)
3.) Using web-based phone services such as Tropo instead of sims
4.) Age of PVA

just tested it my self today...
you will need old account,,i test with 20 days old account and it working well

Me too i cant create apps. But others can create. They Bypass it.

I think J has a very valid point on the PVA supplier and source of PVA creation, thats all what matters, am able to make apps using fresh PVAs of high quality.

I have just created PVAs using US phone numbers (3 pvas) and its not allowing me to add applications too. So thats a problem in facebook according to me.

I'm looking for high quality PVAs, the ones I've bought from lively seem to don't work, but then again they probably make 50 accounts with 1 ip.

Im getting this message:

Sorry, something went wrong.

We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.

Any ideas on the reason for this? Does this mean the app is banned or fb is just being rubbish today?

When/where are you getting this error? What are you doing that's throwing that error? Just to clarify.

Also, this might be some good news. I was digging around their developer forum and found this bug thread: http://forum.developers.facebook.net/viewtopic.php?id=75821

Looks like this happened back in September of 2010, which is awesome, because there's a very high probability that this is just a temporary issue.

Yeah i have a few aged accounts with friends and such on them that make apps fine but a brand new fresh pva from most suppliers prompt the verification process, so it's prob just a bug lets hope

This is their new spam filter crap. If your ip is blacklisted or they detect spam, they start to show this. Happens when creating accounts, sending messages, etc..

I am not saying that I do not believe you, but do you have any evidence to back this up?

If so, please share.

I have just bought few old accounts from someone and I am able to add applications now
